Arlington Heights just makes more sense to me. The parking situation already sucked downtown before they're theoretically going to level the parking lot and turn the current stadium into parks instead of parking. Arlington Heights gives them ownership of the land, ownership of the parking lots, and owner ship of an entire small downtown section not unlike Wrigleyville is for the Cubs. Just owning the bars next to the stadium and parking lots you can charge entry for parking/tailgating and likely make tens of millions a year. Then the housing, potential revenue from concerts/events.... Again all bears owned. I just can't possibly see how a small stadium you don't own downtown, with no parking, is somehow a win.

Lakeshore softball is where all the massive Chicago advertising and financial firms play their softball leagues historically. They got rid of them at north beach for some equity nonsense recently and it was a thing. Believe me, the softball fields were a deliberate nod to the downtown power brokers as ridiculous as that sounds. I’ve played in those leagues… fun place to play softball after work.

I know it seems like a luxury pick but I wouldn't be mad at it. The young man is a playmaker and would be great for Caleb. As a Bears fan, I'm ready to be spoiled for once.

Braxton can’t like Caleb callin for Olu. Roster probably won’t like it either. Don’t like that, regardless of how innocent it might be. Love this kid but he needs to stfu.
The only pushback on that is that Braxton is also nearing a contract year, and while he's not bad, I'm not sure I'd say he's really worth paying either.
If you can lock up an upgrade at a massively important and expensive to pay position, and keep that cost controlled for another 5 years, that's well worth it.
