I think Beyonce is going to completely shake what people think constitute a country song and show there is so much fludity in the genre. She's got storytelling in the lyrical presentation, she's singing over live steel guitar in the simplest chords. Doesnt get more Country than that, but the percussion is 100% work song/chaingang stomp. A style that is distinctly Southern Black, a style not typically found in contemporary Country radio.
