(it depends on the size of your paper. In this video I'm using half of a square)
My paper:
15cm x 7.5cm Tant
BEGINNERS: use a 15cm x 3.75cm sheet of paper and divide into 4 parts instead of 8. It will be a lot easier

the ratio of my paper in this video is 1:2 (half of a square), the A4 size is a different rectangle (210mm x 297mm). It works for the letter 'A' , but not for all the other letters

Mas uma dica p/ ajudar os iniciantes:
Faça marcas com caneta p/ destacar as dobras feitas. Alguns fazem um pontilhado ou então traçam um risco contínuo nas dobras. Isso ajuda pq temos muitas dobras feitas no papel e no vídeo ñ conseguimos ver direito em alguns ângulos.
Não é uma crítica, apenas uma sugestão p/ ajuda aos iniciantes. Sei q é chato fazer as marcações na dobradura, mas é um jeito q dá resultado e não deixa dúvidas.

I think I'll leave the alphabet just in english/portuguese. It would be very difficult to handle multiple translations and also work on a lot of videos at same time...

As dobras reversas são feitas usando a dobra mostrada em 4:03
Provavelmente com a grossura do papel e quantidade de camadas tenha ficado difícil de marcar bem essa dobra. Duas sugestões:
1 - usar algum papel mais fino
2 - usar um retângulo de 1/4 do quadrado ao invés de 1/2 (e dividir em 4 ao invés de 8). Vai ficar com menos camadas e mais fácil de dobrar

i have come up with an origami dragon head,but i can't seem to diagram it i've seen your diagraming tutorials, but they don't seem to help me as much as i thought it would ;( . but, maybe I can send you a CP, and a picture of the finished model,and you could maybe upload a video on how to 'fold the squash folds','petal folds',and how to 'callapese on existing creases'

Which kind of paper would you recommend for folding the alphabet? Would regular printer paper be ok?

+chiaralb I tried it with printer paper and it is a bit harder to fold the creases. It would be easier if you got a bigger size printer paper than the one indicated here, for example instead of 15x7.5 maybe 17x8,5. The final letter would be much bigger though! I think thinner paper like origami paper or textured crafts paper or even a magazine page sheet would do best. I have also tried it with a magazine page and it worked fine, though sometimes the printed ink can make your fingers feel a bit "sticky". I hope this helps you :)

+GD Ashtonator0 Anyway you do it - I did it the coloured side down - you end up with a semi-coloured letter. My A has its left leg white and all the other segments coloured :) I hope this helps and I hope someone else got it right and can tell us...
