Proof that he is human, after all
Not only that, but also proof that he’s down to Earth and relaxed. It’s nice to see that the greatest chess champ can speak with his peers and learn from them too.
Wait!!!
Did someone thought that Magnus is AI or robot??
I mean we all know he is a human so how this is a proof
@@o_msb8 my mistake. I thought you had a sense of humor
Don't put the blame on him🌪
He's just trying to fool us all
Rare footage of Magnus Carlson proving that he is not an alien
He was taught how to pretend
"The most important thing is to know, HOW.. TO.. Pretend."
That is just a distraction to remove our suspicion of him being an alien.
Well yea the hardest part of making a sentient AI is The Turing Test.
Yeah, he almost had us, but we know about his 203 rule of how humans make mistakes.
Doesn’t expect Ian to blunder those kind of things. Probably why Ian was happy haha.
Are you sure about that?
John Cena would drop an elbow on you@@heraldofv3379
You saw how Ian blundered in the world championship match against Carlsen, right?
yeah I did, so you mean, that's more likely that a world class chess player, will now blunder again?, Magnus plays every tournament knowing every player wants to beat him most, and so you think under all that pressure, he'll think that his beaten rival from the world chess championship, will make such a simple blunder?, plus it's really not this deep. I was just making a comment, but so many of chess community is so freaking tunnel visioned, humans play chess, not robots. and I'm just saying man, right?@@Averagebum21
as a fan of Ian, I expect him to blunder each move he did because he always plays by intuition 💀
Ian actually smiled right after Magnus missed it
Ian smiling after Magnus mistake is hilarious
While it was technically a mistake, I think it's more accurate to say it's failing to punish (or even notice) Ian's mistake/blunder, which resulted in an even position
@@IIIlIlAgreed, he just had a “lack of a better term” moment 😊
@@IIIlIl Also called a miss
Bro have you read usogui?
5 calculations ahead would be my biggest achievement 😅😂
It's really feasible man, you can do it!
Point me in the right direction if you can sir. Where do I start?@@leandro8897
Mine is 1😂
Puzzles boys... gotta do your puzzles.
Mine only 2 😂
"imma pretend i didnt see that so that people wont find out that im an alien" - Magnus Carsen
Dang i was about to say that too lol he was acting to let us bielieve that he miss that 🤣
I never realized just how badass pawns are until I started really playing recently, they can manipulate the entire board sometimes it’s crazy. When I was just a person who played as a kid and knows the game I thought pawns were shit stains but no those suckers are game changers
The best and most badass checkmate are when ur pawns checkmate ur opponents king 🎉
As kid when we played we treated it more like side piece which can give you major advantage. So basically we played it when we could not think of moving another piece bcz it was too risky so moved pawn bcz either it will be the one getting sacrifced or if it survives and reaches the other end, it gets upgraded & that is the coolest part of pawn. As a kid I obviously didn't know rules that much and played as per we knew so we upgraded pawn to the piece we had lost but I was watching a beginner video recently (bcz probably after 20 yrs I gained interest) of @GothamChess and he told that the pawn can be upgraded to any piece even if you have the all of the same piece already i.e. u can promote it to bishop even if u already have two bishops and we didn't know that so it becomes even cooler
As someone who sucks at endgames, I realize how valuable pawns can be, I just can't ever make their potential a reality (unless my opponent is even worse at endgames lol)
I've been working on utilising my pawns more! Do you have any tips?
@@Tuckz-as much as possible, try capturing that makes ur opponent get double pawns in a file. Never let your pawns get isolated.
Always move your pawns opposite to the color of your remaining bishop.
Kind of surprising that he missed that
It is a blitz game so anything can happen, even to Magnus
Both of them too
When you’re not that good at chess, simple tactics are way easier to find, whereas Grandmasters can slip up since they’re used to long calculations for a slight advantage.
@@thecoconutgum That's not true at all. It's something that happens to everyone, it's just that unlike newbies they are able to consistently spot tactics like this and when they happen to slip, it gets publicity. But in no way, shape, or form are tactics easier to spot for a novice.
@@thecoconutgum not true at all wym
Proof Magnus can remember an exact position with all its threats and the subsequent best tactical moves, with the prompt of a squiggled air drawing from Ian’s hand
The fact that Ian saw it immediately after he played it, and in a split second of hearing it, it hit Magnus too, is unreal. Meanwhile I watched the video and no shot I’m finding those moves in that spot. Crazy skills.
That's called professional. They've been playing this game more than what we think
Also ridiculously good memory helps lol
I love when pro chess players discuss missed opportunities earlier in a game. I can never remember my last move.
Nepo's reaction in this particular game was also priceless, he saw it and couldn't believe his luck when Magnus missed it 😊
I love how although he is very very good, as in one of the best players of all time, if not, the best, he still listens to others a lot and discusses a lot
Me too, I miss this kinda of tactics so it happens champ
yeah Magnus "Colson" is such a good player....
Magnus:I'm only a human after all
Watching the moment live was so funny 😂
Looks like brothers
REAL
His smile when Magnus moved the bishop back is priceless 😂
Ians evil smile 😂
Magnus coalson really needs to up his game
😂
I was checking if anyone else heard the same thing as me😂😂
Ian was dying to point that mistake out
Nepo was the one who missed the tactical shot first. Otherwise he would have never advanced that pawn.
The way he smiled 😂
Imagine, giving advice to Magnus. Magnus will never forget that player again for the rest of his life.
Great sportsmanship by Nepo to feedback his opponent
Magnus is never gonna make that mistake again. Ian just gave him another scale on the chainmail
magnus: "im only human after all, don't put the blame on me"
He won't think a gm will make a mistake
Don't forget now he's in a decline phase but still he managed to draw not a loss
I like the part when he told us what he missed
Ian is exceptionally smart man
A while back... Jordan misses. He's still the guy
Even doing the mistake he was able to draw the game
I don't know play chess and not really like it BUT I LOVE REACTION OF THIS GUY 😂
Such an elementary oversight from Magnus makes me feel less bad about my hanging Queens.
Free pawn (even pieces) opportunities pop up all over every game, but most are poison and not worth the loss in piece development and superior positional advantage.
Magnus is acting like he's always partying 110% the night before his games
Finally we can appreciate the champion of chess: Magnus coleson
Magnus Carlsen ❌
Magnus Coleson ✅
Very simple tactic indeed, it happens the most when our opponent is very strong, we don't expect blunders.
Magnus trying prove that he is human. He cant fool us!
The fact that he realized what he meant in a second !
Magnus Coleson
Ee-in
Si Señor, Marcel. Ánimo! Da gusto oírte.
Humans make mistakes. Anyone. And that makes us lovely.
Magnus' biggest weakness is seeing tactics, he needs to work on this.
That's not just a reaction that is one of his psychological moves that might help in later games, apart from coming late to board.
Remember he never plays for a match or 2 but for the entire series or title 🙏🏼🙏🏼
I think it's common in this game, Although number one chess player of the world sometimes make mistake or blunder, #nobody always on fire
He's loose all his glory soon because he started using shortcut to win
That’s such a small mistake, I would’ve never noticed
Proof that champions can get a mistake
You can see on his eyes how he was evaluating the move
Blitz oyunda iyi hamleyi gözden kaçırabilir
Hearing the perfectly accent-free TTS speak broken English is really strange.
Thank god,i always thought he's an alien 😂
If you want to beat a strong player, remove their defenders and find hidden checks, they miss those quite a lot.
Wow. I'm 1200 and saw that instantly. Maybe time for a title run.
atleast it wasn't a loss just a draw
but the fact that ian saw that mistake. and the fact he is the one who pointed it out shows that magnus make no mistake. bcs ian won't take the bishop
You can even see he slime when magnus move the bishop
Prove he is not a alien 😂
Well he is human too he is not robot and if people say i never made a mistake i don't believe them
I saw the move after pausing the video before your explaination, took me like 1 to 2 minutes, and this is a lot of time as in an official competition even 10 seconds matter a lot
coulson and yan are my favourite chess player. :)
When you said there is a pawn advantage to be taken, I paused the video and figured it out myself.
I'm superior to Magnus, with my 900 Rapid rating.
I can't remember what I done 3 moves ago
Ethan Klein is one of a kind!!! 😆😆😆
Funny how their faces have similar features
The way he looks up and while remembering moves his eyes from side to side :D that's not how I do it but, OK good to know.
No idea who these guys are. But patzer play is patzer play. Gotta spend more times on tactics training. Do that enough and you might even earn a title...like National Master (NM).
Well, Carlsen once missed that his opponent could mate in one him, and the opponent (Ivanchuk) did mate Carlsen in one after Carlsen missed that mate in one. So the missed tactic isn't necessarily an error as big as the missed mate in one. Also, though the combination in the video is quite simple, it requires at least a few moves calculation to see the result at the end.
“Magnus Coleson”
They just say " Magnus's opponent " like he's a bum. Nepo is definitely one of the top 5 guys in the world over the last 6 years lol.
“Coleson” 💀
i mean magnus didnt expect ian to blunder such an easy tactic so he just dropped it back
That thumbnail sus
it’s not just that but he controls one open file with that play, attacks an i defended pawn and traps the king.
Having respect for a super Gm 😂😂
A time opportunity, for sure!
Im ranked about 700. Meaning im terrible, these guys are great.
Well, this is Blitz. Things like this happen.
Thats a program bug. He is still not human.
Gotta love those 2
You mispronounced names of both great chess players 😂
oh wow. I prefer playing tennis instead.
Maybe it is hard to get good game after missed win. 😅
Magnus purposely did that to get into ians head for the games ahead and ended up winning the rest, he sacrifices the GAME!!!
Ian played c5 asw against Magnus in the wcc and ended up trapping his bishop, he NEEDS to stop playing c5
Magnus is not at his prime anymore, he is still a brillian player but he isnt as good as he used to be
Ahhhhh, u missed it!
They care abt 1 pawn advantage so much
He missed simple tactics
It’s a stacked pawn that’s hung though. I really wouldn’t call that an advantage.
Magnus coleson.
Magnus Colson
love Magnus
Imagine correcting for Magnus?
