If anything, the expansion of mods overtime led to a more memorable game and long term playability that kept a game alive all this time. It's nearly a decade old at this point, ain't it? I think it released in 2013.
The atmosphere is amazing. The mysterious nature of the environment where anything can be lurking around and observing you. Or for a dragon to fly across the sky casting a massive shadow over you. The Elder Scrolls world and lore is an awesome creation.
The nostalgia! I was 22 when this gem of a game was released and so much has changed since then. For some reason, this came to mind: “No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it's not the same river and he's not the same man.” ― Heraclitus.
I played it when I was 22 too about 2 years ago It got me out of my depression and It’s kinda cringey to say this but This game made me a better man it and dark souls played a big role in my development
I was a kid when I saw my friends big brother play it. It was love at first sight. The stories he told me as he played about what was going on, and the foxes. I was sold. So so many new games have been played since that fateful day. The Dragonborn in us all is always waiting to quest!
The dragonborn stood still for a moment as he gazed out across the misty lake, the snow fell softly but his nord blood kept him warm Closing his eyes, breathing deep, and exhale, he enjoyed the moment of peace, since day one things had been pure insanity some would say, but in a time of civil war, return of dragons and assassinations of emperors, a moment of peace is priceless, peace is warriors sharpest weapon
At that most of pristine moments, a lowly mudcrab nipped at him for his GLORIOUS toe-jam, for as it's written: He who holds even the most GLORIEST bit of the Dragon-Born may hold legacy! Imagine a mud crab trying to shout! I'd pay to witness that!!
This particular video tempered my anxiety through some restless nights during a life-changing week. I could almost feel the cool mist on my cheeks while listening. It's not appropriate to want to be merely lifted out of a slump, but to instead have one's melancholy validated. This combination of visuals with the slow-tempo music and lonely elements resonate this feeling so well and it's quite settling. Thank you.
Everytime I hear skyrim music, I think of a calm, much simpler moment, So nostalgic. Like I'm put in the room where I heard this music for the first time and then on. The atmosphere, where I was sitting, the things going on around that time in life. No care in the world, just exploring. Absolutely love this music and the feeling it brings. 🥲😊 Definitely taking a weekend or two to play this masterpiece once again. 🖤
So thankful I grew up with Skyrim. I remember being addicted during early high school and it really was a world for me to escape to. Amazing memories and sceneries. Skryim really allows you to explore your imagination ;)
Skyrim will always have a special place in my heart. I'll never forget playing it the first time, and then the hundreds of times playing it differently. Amazing, simply amazing
I'm an editor, currently editing a really difficult feature length movie, and your playlists are the only thing that make me focus and keep my anxiety and self doubt at bay - expecially the one with your own original music, you really are good! - so I want to thank you with all my heart, you're amazing! (and Skyrim is always good)
for anyone who sees this I just need to explain and hopefully this can be remembered. The first time I ever played Skyrim, I was in 7th grade. I had just gotten home from the midnight launch (those were the most amazing things, the best way to have met new friends) I booted my Xbox 360 and I was so damn excited. I was texting my friends from my old iPod touch and was begging them to get on. My buddy hopped on, I’ll call him C. C and I stayed up for hours. The intro alone had both of us just mesmerized. We had such excitement for a new game with such a big and unusual map. I remember the first time seeing whiterun. How cool it was to walk in and see the market and everyone, and the lead up before whiterun just running by the farms as guards and companions fight a giant, it was so damn cool. me and c spent months playing this game, and it turned into years but as we’ve both gotten older we don’t play hardly as much and we’ve both got different things going on but sometimes I stop and listen to Skyrim music just to remind myself of those times I couldn’t worry about anything to do. I was so happy back then :/
To everyone who reads this: Everything is good in this very moment. Think about that. In this second, there is nothing to worry or think about. It's the perfect time to relax and enjoy how comfortable your bed is. 😊
This take me back to those beautiful and cold winter nights playing Skyrim on my Xbox360. It feels... like if all these awful years just vanish, the years that drown me into my depression.
The soundtrack pulled me back into depression because I realized how long it has actually been since I was in Whiterun with my wife. And I know that she's still waiting for me in the little house.
Beautiful playlist. Skyrim music alone is fantastic, but the soft wind and bird sounds you've added make me feel like I'm in a dream. I can't imagine it was easy to arrange all these pieces together, so thank you for all the time and care you put into crafting this playlist - cheers :)

@@coyotefever Huh, its a cloudy Tuesday over here. But, its funny how we both were questioning everything right now. Thanks for reminding me about this vid.
Skyrim is that game that helped me through my youth, it's the first ever game i played when i was 13, didn't know any of this beatiful world and my uncle made me played it and i just falled in love with it, now it's not with me anymore and until these day i'm grateful that he made me join this wonderful world of inmersive games that it doesn't matter who you are, what you do, what you did, you're just one person in a story and it's told the way you want to, i got a tattoo with the symbol of the imperials and to remember always my uncle and his passion and unconditional love
Had over 1000 hours of gaming, and to be honest, it never gets boring. Been playing since my 11y and now I'm 23, finishing medicine college, and feeling crushed by all the responsability on my shoulders... Sometimes I wish I could come back to those days I started playing Skyrim, it gives so much nostalgia! Life was happier, had no problems, just chilling, playing w/ my friends... This video is heartwarming, Thank You very much!
I've spent literal Months just wandering Skyrim in countless playthroughs with dlc and mods included and still I've never grown tired of it. I'll probably be playing it long into my life cause no matter how old it is it's a part of me now. I don't think my Dragonborn will ever truly retire.

I'm 23 years old, and the first time I had the opportunity to play Skyrim was 8 years ago: I had bought my friend's Xbox 360 and it only had 3 games, I put the disc in without even knowing what Elder Scrolls was, much less Skyrim. Nowadays this game is part of my history, part of my experience. I've played other things all this time but it's amazing how I keep coming back to Skyrim, I never get bored, even after all these years. The atmosphere is incredibly beautiful and immersive, it feels like you are in a dream. As I spent time adventuring through Skyrim, I began to fall in love with classical music too, due to Jeremy Soule's magnificent compositions that were played throughout the journey. I can only thank those who helped produce this work of art that will always be deep in my heart.
you really really have to try this game! i played only 100 hours, this game is so immersive, so deep, there is so much plots going on, all your choices matter in the game and it can lead to a different playtrough every time, yes its old game already, but it will never die! i suggest you to play the original version without mods and just be patient! its amazing game! truly the only one in its kind!
I've been falling asleep instantly for the past couple of days.... it reminds me of when me and my bf first met and he'd be explaining everything until the sun rose. I sometimes fell asleep by accident but the background music is always comforting 💕
Omg you don't know how excited I got when I saw this on my feed. Skyrim is one of my most favorite games ever, and the fact that this channel who uploads amazing playlists made one for it, just makes me happy on so many levels.
While studying just now I lamented that It wasn't pouring and storming at my house while I was listening to Lofi so decided to search if this was even a thing and I am so pleasantly surprised you mixed all of my favorite vibes together. Thank you!
I’ve never made a comment like this, but I feel like making one now. I first played Skyrim when I was about seven years old in the middle of 2012. I remember I was at a friends house, and my friend and brother were talking, so I picked up the Xbox controller that was on the couch and started playing this game I’d never seen. I asked my friend what it was called, and he told me it was a pretty new Bethesda release called “Skyrim.” I’m pretty sure I thought that Whiterun was also called Skyrim, because it was the first place I ever saw. After playing for twenty minutes or so, me and my brother had to leave, and on the way home, I couldn’t stop thinking about this game. Once I got home, I started begging a couple of my older brothers to help me buy it, I think it was on sale for just $20, and I wanted to split the cost. The problem was though, I didn’t have any money to split the cost, so they gave a resounding “No.” I was pretty devastated, but I remembered my oldest brother worked at a shopping mall with a GameStop. So I called him up and begged him to buy Skyrim, saying I’d pay him back. He said yes. Once he got home, I put the disc in, and started my first hour out of thousands. I’ll never forget that friend that introduced me to this game, or the kindness of my brother for using his hard earned money to make his little brother happy. When I hear the music of Skyrim, I don’t think so much about the good times I had, but the people that brought me to those good times. I’m seventeen now, getting ready to be eighteen. And for the past couple of years, I’ve been scared of growing up and taking full responsibility of myself. But as I listen to this music and reminisce on all the good times and the good people I know, I get in touch with my younger self, and feel like everything’s gonna be just fine, as long as I stay true to who I am. Thanks for reading.
Hey bro, glad you realize the people around you are very important. I was introverted for so many years , now I am in my freshman year of high school, and am beginning to socialize more. I feel as if I have found the secret to a good life, Surround yourself with good people. And be a good person yourself. There is so much you can gain from having a tight group of friends who really care for each other. Not enough people today realize the significance of being human, What it means. I also have a lot of nostalgia for Skyrim, listening to it after not playing for so long is almost ethereal. I hope you have a good rest of your life brother, I love you.( No I don't smoke weed)
Skyrim is my comfort game...no matter how I feel, turning on my old Xbox One and falling into Skyrim makes my day a million percent better. It's seen me through some dark times: from a (thankfully unsuccessful) suicide attempt in 2014, a painful break up of a long term relationship in 2016, my father's sudden and unexpected death in 2019, and a trio of emergency surgeries in early 2020. I got Skyrim as a gift on the day of release (11/11/11!) from my older brother and it's been almost like a constant and comforting friend to me since then. I've even passed on a love for TES games and lore to my now 19 year old son, who is currently playing TES III: Morrowind, which was the first TES game I ever played, way back in 2004, the year I gave birth to him. LONG LIVE SKYRIM AND THE ELDER SCROLLS!
Skyrim will always hold a close spot in my heart. This playlist makes me think of all my playthroughs of the game specifically my most recent one. Good playlist.
I remember the day I walked into a GameStop and looked at a disc box named *skyrim* I tell my brother “isn’t this the game you played back in 2011?” He says in joy “omg yes you should get it it got me into rpg’s” without even thinking I murmured “yeah sure I’ll give it a try” I would have never of thought that this game *DID* get me into rpgs, to the first moments seeing Alduin destroying helgen, to meeting my favorite companion serena in the dawnguards dlc. I’m so glad I picked up Skyrim on that day, it doesn’t even matter if I haven’t played it in a while I just always snap back and get myself immersed into the game, lore, just everything. Thank you for the Skyrim playlist video it brought me back to my young age.
This reminds me why I love Skyrim so much. Skyrim is more than just a game. Skyrim is therapy. It's a world that embraces and comforts me when the real one does not.
I feel like Skyrim has a place in almost all the players hearts because it's like a mirror image of the world you dream you were in and long for, but can never reach
i disocvered this just as it came out and spent the entirety of june listening to it. every night, from 11pm to 4am i'd write and have this on in the background. one of the best periods of my life. thank you.
There is a Welsh word for the feeling i (and seemingly others) experience when reminiscing on Skyrim and its certain qualities that make us appreciate the game 10x more. This word is Hiraeth - It combines elements of homesickness, nostalgia and longing. We all want to re-live that precise moment we arrived into the world of Skyrim and completing the main quest line. And at the time we didn't realize we were making some of the best memories, its sad really. There will always be a part of me that is envious of my younger self for getting to immerse herself into this beautiful world with the imagination and patience i've seemingly lost. I'll revisit Skyrim one day but for now this play list is all i need to remember all the fond memories i have of this wonderful game. So thank you for creating this vid
It been almost 11 years and my life has changed so much, and yet- there are parts of me that are exactly the same. There’s something about having a world to escape to. A fantasy in a bottle you can pop into and escape.
😶🌫️ this is the only thing i can listen to, and have been listening to for a couple months now, in order to sleep at all. Skyrim music has always calmed me but this just hits different. Its like it flips a switch in my brain to be calm. Very chillaxing and helpful for my sleep.
Ah Skyrim… can’t really explain the feeling I got restarting with a new play through, creating my own backstory for each new character. Ranging From Nord hero’s wielding weapons or magic to a khajiit thief with a knack for illusion magic, or an argonian assassin raised as a shadow scale. An Ancient vampire meddling with the political struggles of mortals. Or how about a bloodthirsty werewolf prowling the dark woods for bandit camps… the list goes on. With mods, the potential seemed limitless. Only wish i knew I was living the “good old days” when it was happening.
My logged game time is actually half that due to sleeping through most nights due to peaceful ambience and music while just exploring. Waking up to the camera circling was a very common occurrence. That's the trouble with open world games in your 30s. Could've also graduated college several times over.
Listening to this has made me decide to start anew adventure in the world of Skyrim! Thank you for now I will use this video for my future adventures on what my characters paths shall take. Throughout all my adventures I’m gonna try to be something different.
The vanilla game has been over for me since I finished all the main questlines once, but the modding scene has kept the game alive and well, and I have no doubt will continue doing so. Lovely, lovely title.
on 11 11 11, i remember..being blown away by the entire game. The look, the sounds...everything. You wish you could repeat the feeling, of exploration, finding new areas. That first big fight, or finishing up that first home. I still fire this up now and then, enjoy it for a little while. Always end up a stealth archer though..hah.
Nostalgia hits me bad with this! So many memories of being young and spending hours at day/night on this game not being able to sleep thinking about life and everything, going through dungeons to dungeons countless quests. Even relationships to relationships 😂😂 that how long I used to play this for! If only they released a new skyrim! Can you imagine?! Goodnight amazing people
Skyrim is such a piece of fine art that it really deserves to have it's own genre. I've absorbed so much of the perception that I now have of the world around me from the game, that I would be lying if I said it is not part of who I am today. Thank you so much Bethesda.
_The Dragonborn stares at the dewy twist snaking across the plains and sighs. What was there to do now? Who was there to fight? He had done it all._ _It felt like just yesterday when he was walking the halls of Jorvaskr, eager to prove himself. And now with the dragons are slain, the Thalmor vanquished, Ulfric's rebellion quelled, and Talos' worship reinstated, he stands amidst the biting winds of the north._ _Looking to his left, into the amber coloured eyes of his companion, he voices his thoughts out loud._ _"What now?" he asks, his baritone voice rumbling like thunder. There was an uncertain edge to it, and he sounded almost lost._ _"Now," she replied, a soft smile flickering across her deathly pale lips. "We do what we've always done."_ _"Which is?"_ _"Adventure, Dragonborn," she said, slipping her hand into his, and leading him down the well trod dirt track. "Adventure."_
never forget that cold night in november of 2011, in the early AM hours, when i finally first heard this. 30:36 journey's end sounds so beautiful even more now!
Skyrim was my first real immersion into the Elder Scrolls series, then Morrowind, some Oblivion, and Elder Scrolls Online. I am an absolute junkie for exploration, rich plot, memorable characters, and looting to boot. I'm so glad I bought this on release day 11/11/11. One of the best games of my lifetime.

At that most of pristine moments, a lowly mudcrab nipped at him for his GLORIOUS toe-jam, for as it's written: He who holds even the most GLORIEST bit of the Dragon-Born may hold legacy!

Definitely taking a weekend or two to play this masterpiece once again. 🖤

So thankful I grew up with Skyrim. I remember being addicted during early high school and it really was a world for me to escape to. Amazing memories and sceneries. Skryim really allows you to explore your imagination ;)
oh my god i love skyrim so much this will be a blessing honestly
Okay dude.
(and Skyrim is always good)
How's the edit going?? :)
I'm also an editor. It helps a lot, but sometimes it makes me unfocus annd keep thinking about skyrim. I wish I could travel there sometimes
for anyone who sees this I just need to explain and hopefully this can be remembered.
I was so happy back then :/
The first time I saw Whiterun, I immediately thought of Rohan from LOTR.
To everyone who reads this: Everything is good in this very moment. Think about that. In this second, there is nothing to worry or think about. It's the perfect time to relax and enjoy how comfortable your bed is. 😊

I send you via internet the biggest argentinian hug, from Italy.
The soundtrack pulled me back into depression because I realized how long it has actually been since I was in Whiterun with my wife. And I know that she's still waiting for me in the little house.
It's that extra 14 seconds that decided it for me.

I've spent literal Months just wandering Skyrim in countless playthroughs with dlc and mods included and still I've never grown tired of it. I'll probably be playing it long into my life cause no matter how old it is it's a part of me now. I don't think my Dragonborn will ever truly retire.

If you are reading this, I want to tell you that everything will be fine. You are incredible, you are unique, you can face anything in your life, you have the strength within yourself to overcome any obstacle, loss or situation.
Skyrim is such an oddly pleasing game. My heart dropped when the first song started playing.
This is by far one of my favorites. It makes me feel at home, which is very rare. I miss running amuck in the woods and cities as a werewolf in the game... I greatly appreciate the hard work and time you put into these, Nobody. You're an inspirer to many, even if you don't know it. Keep creating, you mystical being. 💜😁
Wow, I've heard of Skyrim but this actually inspires me to play the game! Beautiful, surreal and so sad... 💜
you really really have to try this game! i played only 100 hours, this game is so immersive, so deep, there is so much plots going on, all your choices matter in the game and it can lead to a different playtrough every time, yes its old game already, but it will never die! i suggest you to play the original version without mods and just be patient! its amazing game! truly the only one in its kind!

The problem was though, I didn’t have any money to split the cost, so they gave a resounding “No.”
I was pretty devastated, but I remembered my oldest brother worked at a shopping mall with a GameStop.

I see a well-made Skyrim ambient mix, I give a like on spot.
It been almost 11 years and my life has changed so much, and yet- there are parts of me that are exactly the same. There’s something about having a world to escape to. A fantasy in a bottle you can pop into and escape.

Skyrim VR with this playing in the background as I adventure without fast traveling; walking on the stone pavement I listen to this at the night sky..
Could've also graduated college several times over.
glad to be one of the few people who get to see this first, keep the good work coming!

Skyrim is a game that defined a generation, similar how GTA San Andreas did and still manage to bring nostalgia to this day.
The vanilla game has been over for me since I finished all the main questlines once, but the modding scene has kept the game alive and well, and I have no doubt will continue doing so.

_Looking to his left, into the amber coloured eyes of his companion, he voices his thoughts out loud._
_"What now?" he asks, his baritone voice rumbling like thunder. There was an uncertain edge to it, and he sounded almost lost._
_"Now," she replied, a soft smile flickering across her deathly pale lips. "We do what we've always done."_
_"Which is?"_
_"Adventure, Dragonborn," she said, slipping her hand into his, and leading him down the well trod dirt track. "Adventure."_
