Garifuna - Interview with Lily Zapata pt. 1

Lily Zapata (Auntie Lily) was one of the most knowledgable people in Dangriga with regard to traditional songs. Gwen Gonzalez and James Lovell interview her in front of her house about arumahani and abeimahani songs. She sings many songs and discusses their context. Auntie Lily knew James from when he was a little boy and was also close to Gwen. This session was our first recorded interview with her.
