This truth isn’t one that everyone can swallow, but for those (like yourself) that do, they see the quality of their life transform and improve 1000000000000x 💕😊 I’m excited for you! They even recommend that couples journey separately or if they do travel together that they sit separately so they can be IN and not influenced.

    Interesting. Came here to learn something. Instantly learn that Ayahuasca does not automatically decolonize the mind from external ideological contagions.

    • @TheMindfulPlate
      @TheMindfulPlate  7 месяцев назад

      Good lesson. Ayahuasca doesn’t “automatically” do anything. That’s another lesson - get rid of the idea that there are quick fixes and magic pills. Those only exist in the colonized mindset. What Ayahuasca offers is an opportunity to “deworm” the body of thoughts and ideas that pollute the inner self and outer world. It also extends an invitation for those who have the experience to go out and do the necessary daily work of staying connected to Earth wisdom while navigating colonized places. Have you sat with Ayahuasca? If so, what did she teach/show/reveal to/for you?

    • @TheMindfulPlate
      @TheMindfulPlate  Год назад +61

      Considering you used a white male emoji, I’m assuming you’re white. Also based on your comment, in my experience only white people have ever said “don’t talk about race, just talk about Ayahuasca “. This is the EXACT reason why I talk about race. You don’t get to tell me what to do. Unfortunately members of your race for centuries have the mistaken thought that they get to dictate what others do. It’s one of the characteristics of white supremacy - thinking that you have sovereign rule over others to think, act, decide and choose for themselves.
      Secondly, Ayahuasca is a consciousnesses, not a race. And under the influence of that consciousness I recorded my videos where I was instructed to help humans understand how destructive the concept of race is. And for humans who share my hue, they also understand the experience of white supremacy, being black and being brown - and in that experience Ayahuasca is calling all humans (yourself included) to heal from the destructive nature of race by addressing it (not ignoring it or acting like it doesn’t exist as you just proposed with your comment) and then transcending it.

      @@TheMindfulPlate oh, maybe something went wrong, any way, I just typed that I'm actually mixed race dark skin, and that the way to heal is to give kindness and not pass blame, even when historically a culprit can be identified, staying in that blame game is a way of hanging on to tension, washing away all the emotional tensions by injecting positivity, peace and lova yall

    • @TheMindfulPlate
      @TheMindfulPlate  Год назад +18

      @@fidgetgadget3475 thanks for sharing and clarifying. The part of the video that you're referencing isn't about blaming. It's about sharing my experience being in search of diverse voices who use this medicine. I make these videos because there are loads of Black and Brown people who are interested in other perspectives. For years the Internet was littered with primarily White voices on Ayahuasca. One of my other videos really helps bring a lot of Black and Brown people into the healing journey. ruclips.net/video/ACWDrx7055A/видео.html
      Another thing to add, Trevor Noah was one of my first teachers on healing the racial tension and I know it's because of his unique perspective on being mixed race. I'm fully "Black" (culturally mixed Jamaican and American) - and my experience with White washing has contributed to my perspective. Part of healing is meeting people where they are instead of telling them where they should be. That's why a lot of Black and Brown people resonate with the video I shared above - they see themselves. They're allowed to feel how they feel AND they're invited to heal with Ayahuasca. "Injecting positivity, peace and love" isn't always enough....reconciliation and being heard (vs told to forget about it) is also part of the process.
