    I appreciate your including the ATC induced overshoot on the VTF. It happens. We try not to be an issue so it's hard to know when to speak up.

    Why are there circling MDAs?

      It is a VOR approach, not straight in, so only Circling minimum.

      @@Pilotfredish Just to clarify, It's not that it's a VOR approach. The suffix -A after "VOR" in the approach title means that only circling minima are published for this approach. The reason for this approach is because the angle of the final approach course to the runway centerline exceeds 30 degrees. It doesn't mean you can't make a straight in landing, it's just that the criteria specified in the Terminal Instrument Procedures Manual (FAA Document 8260.3F) also called TERPS, state that in this case as well as one other only circling MDA minima will be published.
