Vermont is actual trash fuck the outdoor aspect of it, it's winter half the year and there isn't jack shit to do and no good commercial fast food makes it so you're spending 20 dollars on just you for breakfast/lunch/dinner, Vermont like I said is completely trash enless you make 60k a Year
@@heddy1546 Vermont is trash because it doesn’t have good commercial fast food? That might be the most INSANE comment I have ever read. And what do you mean there is nothing to do in the winter? It’s one of the few places in the Northeast where there are actually things to do when it snows...people LITERALLY move to Vermont because of its Winters.
I live in Ma but Vt. is my second home. I work in field service and Vt. was in my service area. I road here back in in 2000 and things have grown so much. Killington is my home ski hill and I am there every weekend. I retire in a few years and hope to make Vt. my home, its a great state, truly beautiful and the people are great. Great job creating such a magical trail experience, thank you.
I had the pleasure of meeting Knight Ide when I was in highschool, we worked on some trails with him and he is a super kind and humble man. Love this video, Kingdom Trails is like no other place!
So cool. My second mountain as a J2 and J3 ski racer was at BMA. Then went to KMS due to the parents moving. I still miss Burke and the entire area of Vermont. Now living in Colorado for the past 20+ years, the wife and I talk weekly about moving back East. She's from NH, I'm from VT, in our hearts we know well be back "home" in the next few years. Thanks for the great video!
Wow. amazing! I rode Burke pre-MTB days, as I had friends who worked and lived there year-round. We used to take the lift up (when we could find people to work it for us ) and the trails were barely visible in the summer. But, oh boy, was the riding great! Good to know the mountain biking community has developed and I’d love to ride there again soon! 🤙🚵♂️🤟😎
Anyone who goes to the kingdom you MUST stay at the willow burke nordic inn and spa. The place is incredible you will not be disappointed. And its dog friendly.
Great person. Kids separate too early from parents, this is a great way to keep them together, I skied VT w/kids, best time, biking must be even better...
The options for mtb in this state are amazing if you do a little homework. The people are great, and the drives are survivable. As soon as i get my skills where i'm happy with them ( gotta make sure its worth the drive, lol) i will be making the pilgrimage to the kingdom to get my shred on!!!
Awesome - we'll have to check them out! If you're interested, we have a site called Campfire where you could submit your biking videos to win prizes. If you want to learn more you could do so here: www.outsidetvcampfire
Maybe you're just an XC bitch who doesn't realize this isn't downhill or even enduro, you must be from flat ass midwest or something like everyone else around me who never want to have fun only signal eachother with Strava segments.
Ide already mentions in the video that he taught them to ride on uphills, for the very reason that they wouldn't "just ride the downhill" might want to watch the entire video.
Moved to Vermont a year ago after vacationing here for years. I’ll never go back, Vermont is truly something special
discorperted to each their own, really not hard to block out rich smugg people, stop worrying what people think and enjoy the outdoors.

I need to do this
Man, I wish other parts of northern Appalachia would see the economic and conservation benefits of building a culture of extreme outdoor recreation.
If WV put their mind into it, they could be the CO of the east
Def….but they are consumed with mining coal and destroying their land

@@OutsideWatch It's Great!
Flatlanders
Not mountain biking...this is called "downhill riding a mountain bike". Maybe they need to learn how to ride uphill.....sad!
Daniel Wasiuk Maybe you need to watch the whole video.
I bet all these kids could beat you going down and going up

The Kingdom Trails are not lift served. Lots of uphill. Burke Mountain is lift served.
