Three women to pass the container-lashing test at Port Saint John. Lifting and lugging bars that may weigh up to 50 to 60 kilos every, container lashers get the boxes “in a position for the crane to boost off and put it within the backyard to be shipped out in all places Canada, or the USA, or no matter.
When a container is loaded over ships, it is secured to the ship’s structure and to the container placed below it by means of lashing rods, turnbuckles, twist-locks etc. This prevents the containers from to move from their places or fall off in to the sea during rough weather or heavy winds.

Beautiful to see ladies doing the lashing job because I'm a lasher for 10 yrs and i start driving as a terminal tractor operator but now I'm a Reach Stacker operator

In our port one man lash 3-4 bays in 8hour shift also we unlock all twistlock whit dam stick.It's hard work specialy if ship have bad turnbuckles and if u have bad stick for open twistlock,we don't have any woman stevedore.
