I'm doing it sarcastically, but if people heard me who didn't know me very well they'd think I was serious. It's more tiring to try to argue "no I'm not this" and not take the good comment and that also annoys some people to.
In the end it's hard to win. If you say "no I'm not pretty" people say you can't take a compliment but if you agree people call you egotistical or narcissistic.
