I dont have adhd but i had epilepsy and it rly was fucking with my head. I too know how it feels as a kid i always was so far behind everyone and i could not understand. Why the fuck everyone learned things so fast on the first try and yet i could sit there hours on end and still not memorize jack shit... Would not wish this on anyone.

In a way this actually made him even better. Talented people, myself included have a tendency to stop the second things get hard because we're used to dominating every with relative ease, and that's something I've had to overcome. Hard core discipline and determination will take you places your gifts and talents will not

While everyone may start from a different point, with discipline and self-respect, great things can be achieved even against the odds. As David Goggins said, we all know what it takes, but breaking the lazy spirit within us is not easy. Don’t be angry with yourself, but treat yourself with respect and reverence. Just goes to show that everyone's human. You don't need to develop new skills to be successful. Just do what you can do. We men have to go through hard work an struggle to make it, unlike woman who just needs an instagram to make it.
Don't waste your energy on thinking this way. Put in the work and cultivate your garden. The difficult things you do in life is what you will find the most pride in.
Choosing the path of wisdom and vigor means being a lifelong student. Even if he occasionally has a vocabulary that needs improvement for my taste. So I find this guy a real asset to anyone who is still struggling to optimize themselves.
And for everyone who criticizes him for being an unemotional person, I want to say. In this video he revealed a part of his soul and left it behind for posterity.

This man has sculpted his own mind to levels unimaginable to others. The only thing I am unsure of is the ‘born with Adhd’. Having read his book, the abusive upbringing he had is what most likely led to it. I have friends with children with Adhd and the minute you look at the way the kids were brought up ( stressful marriages, abusive parenting, shouting or anxious parents), is what seems to give rise to it.
Either way, everyone should take heed from the consistency and repetition of tasks required as David points out, to become a master of anything.

I feel that this assessment of studying is quite universal. I've never met anyone at uni/college who understood a page "first try". That's what studying is: transforming a de-structured piece of info into a structured one that can be used in the context of an exam.
No you are wrong i have seen those people in my life plenty of times who get it on the first try and don't even have to watch it again if you went to an elite school particulary you would know that there is always at least one of those kind of people in every class when they are 2 or 3.

I love David Goggins but i cant help but think his life might be a bit gray, he has little friends he mostly studies studies and worksout what about fun and going out? What is the purpose of only studying and working out everyday im genuinly interested
He goes into it all in the full podcast with Huberman. Go check it out, it's a really interesting dive into what he's about. Long story short, he says that the hard life he chooses to live is there so that he doesn't go back to his old ways.

But in the podcast he did clarify a lot of stuff, and it sure as hell sounds like for him it's not so much about finding joy in working, but rather about doing the work he feels like he needs to do despite the fact it sucks. I have to say, out of all those self-help gurus that are utterly full of shit, he's about the only one who seems completely genuine. He also gives a much different take on life as a whole and I can't say I necessarily agree with everything he preaches, but he's one of very few guys I want to listen to from this field.
