I just love how you repurpose items to create beautiful little spots on your property. The green house is really nicely planted. I’m sure Sam is so pleased!
❤️ the Dutch door...and it's green👍😉 The symmetry you achieved with the salvaged materials is not lost to me. It looks wonderful❗️🙂 The rainwater gathering system isn't cobbled and ugly. You incorporated it beautifully❗️ 😍
Love the "greenhouse" and all the wonderful growing vegetables and greens. Besides a charming look created with the use of the remains of the stone wall, wooden frame windows and the "green door", all the recycling and repurposing of materials is thrilling. You are saving our planet. Thanks Sean.
Love the green house. I want one so much. Congratulations on such wonderful greenhouse. Well done! The glass for the fruit is Fabulous & knives rests are adorable
That’s a great door, I love the color too. You making it a Dutch Door is brilliant! I love Dutch doors but I would have been so happy with the find, I wouldn’t have thought of it. It’s looking so fantastic.
Great garden, I like that you are using things you have already,my children always laugh at me when I save birthday and Christmas bags, except when they need one.
Sean, I love your greenhouse. The green door. So clever of you. It looks fantastic. You've really been "cracking on". Nice knife rests and the glass fruit stand. The garden is looking wonderful too. Cheers
Dig some worms or purchase some fishing worms and put them in the beds for the greenhouse. And a little wood ash in the planting beds helps keep down smells in the greenhouse and will feed the plants. It some window screen over the barrels for water to keep the leaves out that will wash down off the roof.
The greenhouse looks great! I only have one thing to tell u about the avocado plants. As long as you’re not expecting tasty fruit from them, you’re good. I watched a video where it is a one one eighty thousand chance to get a edible avocado tree. Apparently the tree had to be grafted like an apple tree. Good news though! His company sells grafts. And edible trees!
Great work on the greenhouse. Very impressed by your up-cycling. My dad was a Master Gardener in Eastern Canada and he used to use a lot of sheep manure and seaweed in his massive gardens. All his vegetables used to come in in August. We always went home to visit our parents in August so that we could have fresh vegetables from the garden with all the meals. What wonderful memories and remembering those delicious meals. There's nothing nicer than tomatoes and tomatoes straight out of a garden. Cheers from Toronto
Hello there! Regarding peach trees, they do love the Sun, so make sure it's planted somewhere where the daylight is maximized. They aren't fond of constant damp, so if memory serves me correctly for Northern France, this might be an issue although you do get beautiful Summers. It will need some kind of insect prevention as peaches are very susceptible to damage. I've grown them in Western Canada where the Temps can get to -40C, so seasonal cold doesn't affect them too much, but I have noticed that depending on the variety, they can take up to five years to produce fruit. I'm not sure what variety you have there, but they are slow growers. I live in a spot that is famous for its peaches and they are well worth the trouble as nothing beats a peach fresh from the tree! 🍑
I truly love when things are created by recycling existing materials, the door is perfect. How nice will it be to go to the green house and pick something you have grown for dinner. My Dad used to use recycled materials to build furniture and build things around our house and cottage. I was always impressed with the outcome of each project. Thanks for sharing Sean, it's fun to see what you create.
I have been subscribed for a long time but just discovered I was not! This has been happening on other channels so make sure everyone gets your new updates! Happy days and many happy hours watching you from Florida ❤️
I love it ❤️ ...Door looks spot on and the Good news nesting has started again ..What a Gorgeous bird .I love the different paths leading all directions 👌
Delightful video Sean, great to see that some people are living a productive & sustainable lifestyle. Not to mention the fact that you reside in `La Belle France`, you lucky bleeder!!!!
Hi Sean! Love your greenhouse build. I have a 8 x 10 feet greenhouse, gas window openings, tables for plantings trays. By April the door is left open until fall, so hot inside. The feeling of growing your own plants from seed is rewarding and therapeutic. My large garden I was tired of all the weeds, I covered in between all the rows with cardboard, then covered with bark mulch, no weeds! I don’t have water inside the greenhouse, I use a gallon watering can that I fill, electricity is a extension cord going to the garage close by. I also use heat mats for seed starting, since I live in British Columbia, Canada it’s can still be in the low numbers after the sun goes down. The water issue is scary, we had so much rain in the winter with terrible flooding then no rain for months. 🇨🇦❤️
Love, love, love your greenhouse, Sean!! Showed to my hubby and he wants to build one!! Yay!! Thanks, Sean for sharing your beautiful project and plantings!! The door is brilliant!! Blessings to you, Sam, Jasmine, Jack and the rest of your lovely family!!! USA
You are a genius. I love men who are down to earth and can do things. I am a widow and wish I could find a man with your qualities. I love the life you live. Appreciate nature, resourceful, shows love to people and animals, helpful to fellow man.
Love the green door. You, Sean, work so hard! And do so many things so beautifully I am impressed. I will watch the greenhouse progress with envy...I cant keep a house plant alive
Came over from Billy a few days ago and youtube has since been recommending some of your old videos. I really love your garden and how it's not so strict and straight but more natural and lovely
Aussie here, you will love this Shawn, here in Oz we buy a strip for pots or gardens called Slugga, at Bunnings, a Copper strip that is self adhesive. You stick it around your pot or garden joining up in a loop then when the snail or slug slurps over the strip they get a mild shock and turn back. I used it on a raised bed and it works. Might be available on line, worth a try.
Bonjour Sean and Sam the greenhouse is spectacular I love gardening vege seedlings compost you got me all reeved up to get in there 😍👏The green door perfecto I’m impressed with the concrete blocks for planting I too do the seedlings in compostable toilet rolls your garden is heaven on earth bringing the birds and your yearly visitor Sam must be sooo pleased with the progress Thankyou for a garden filled diy vlog always love your achievements around your home Have a lovely weekend my loves Abiento😘😘❤️❤️👌👌💖💖
I have screen on either side of my entry for aeration in the summer. Just have to open windows, latch back to keep open, screen not only provides much needed ventilation but allows it let the air circulate around the plants when it does blow.
I think Reuse is the second R (Reduce being first), but it’s also my favorite. I love to see items and materials get a second and third life, and even be remade into new things. And the most ethical, environmentally friend item you can get is the one you already own (or can save from the trash).
I really like how you re-purpose used materials. It is such a great idea to use toilet paper roll tubes to plant seedlings. It is very educational - hope to see more of such vlogs.
Ah, hugel kulture in the greenhouse. Fantastic idea. We do that here in Australia with corrugated iron roofing. It's good for waist-height gardening. 😊
Hi Sean! Love the greenhouse and all your plants. I like the relaxed vibe in your vlogs. I also like the scenery with all the greenery and flowers🌻🌺 because I live in the northen part of Sweden and there is not a green leaf to be seen! I think I have to move to France! 😀. Looking forward to your next vlog. Take care.🤗
Just to be funny. Hot house with hot manure. Mmmmm You are doing a lovely job. I love the green split door. And that’s very clever to use the open cement block ends for smaller veggies or herbs.
I just love how you repurpose items to create beautiful little spots on your property. The green house is really nicely planted. I’m sure Sam is so pleased!
❤️ the Dutch door...and it's green👍😉

Love the "greenhouse" and all the wonderful growing vegetables and greens. Besides a charming look created with the use of the remains of the stone wall, wooden frame windows and the "green door", all the recycling and repurposing of materials is thrilling. You are saving our planet. Thanks Sean.

Good job! Nice & functional greenhouse.
It's good that you were able to re-use the green door.
We also call it a Dutch door👍👍👍
I also use TP rolls for planting seeds! I love when we are a continent away and then some and we are gardening the same way!!
Lot's of great food to be had for years to come!! Nicely designed Sean.
Crush up egg shells in the dirt to stop snails from disturbing plants. Lovely greenhouse.

Great garden, I like that you are using things you have already,my children always laugh at me when I save birthday and Christmas bags, except when they need one.
You are so going to love spending time in your greenhouse.
Lavender would be happy planted in that concrete block border. It likes the alkaline medium as the lime leaches out of the blocks.
Sean, I love your greenhouse. The green door. So clever of you. It looks fantastic. You've really been "cracking on".
Nice knife rests and the glass fruit stand.

I love your greenhouse. I also love that you have used permaculture principles to harvest your water. Great idea.

Great tips for building your own greenhouse ty Sean!
Greenhouse looks great! Love the green door especially.
Renew, recycle, reuse! Good going!

I put a small saucer with beer in it for the snails, no problem after that !
Great work. A solar fan for ventilation would be nice. Hot air rises and it will get smoking hot in there. Happy growing.

Try adding a tablespoon of Epsom salts to a gallon of water and watering the peach tree. This should help with the leaf curl.
You’re such a nice person….❤❤
Fantastic use of space and recycling. It looks fantastic 👍👍
I really like how you re-purpose used materials. It is such a great idea to use toilet paper roll tubes to plant seedlings. It is very educational - hope to see more of such vlogs.
