This video is truly amazing! I never thought cotton and acetone could work so well to fix broken glasses. The step-by-step instructions are super clear, and the final result is impressive. Keep up the great work!
TY. Ended up going to the wrong place for my glasses and they broke within 6 months after I got them going completely crazy trying to fix them and your video has helped me out so I can figure out a couple ideas thank you very much.
Great video! The cotton and acetone trick was genius! I never thought of using those materials to fix broken eyeglasses. Your step-by-step instructions were easy to follow, and the result is impressive. Thanks for sharing this creative idea!
Actually that's not the way to do it. You need to fill the acetone cap with acetone and with your hands suspend the pieces with only the ends in the acetone. Hold for a number of minutes until the acetate has been melted. Then the hard part. You have to hold the pieces together for as long as you can. 7 minutes minimum - release and let the frame sit undisturbed for 24 hours. After that you need to file/ sand down the join and apply strokes of acetone using a tissue. Never rub just stoke, let dry and repeat. Buff with a buffing wheel using frame polish. Can be really nice if you have to the time.
Que excelente video, para las personas que nos gusta reparar cosas, que repuestos, no venden, es estupendo este trabajo, un saludo desde mi Ecuador 🇪🇨 del alma.

That's a good tip. It would be nice in case of emergency. In Korea, it takes only 10 minutes to measure and make glasses. And the repair fee is free and it is repaired right on site.
my wife works for a large department store in the ophthalmology department, where you would get your eyes examined and then buy glasses. It cost about 3 to 5 dollars to make even the expensive eyeglass frames. Most of the eyeglass stores are all owned by the same company, Lexotica.. like the de beers company that limits the amount of diamonds, released for sale in the world, which keeps the price of diamonds up. They do the same with eyeglasses. By one company owning most of the places you go to buy glasses, they keep the price high by owning the competition. If you can’t beat them, buy them…
@@Repairman10169 $100-$400 is about average here in the USA for a pair of prescription Glasses, depending on the material of the glasses, whether they are plastic or poly carb, and the coating on the lenses anti-reflective anti-glare. The best is poly carb with anti-reflective coating. Never clean your glasses with paper towels. It was scratched the hell out of them.
