I wasn't going to watch this video, but im glad i did! I used a melty zip tie to repair the lever arm connector on a step-on lift lid for my kitchen garbage bin! It's very sturdy repair! Thank you!!
I often look at your tips with my mouth open, I'm so amazed at what you do or "invent" to repair parts. You are a real Magician in my eyes! Greetings from Germany

Gran trabajo🎉
I just came upon this video and right off the top this guy is amazing simple easy to follow easy to understand and he's not even speaking and the video is just going all these different ways to fix these plastic components I love it
Abraços do Brasil 😊
I restore old wrecked Chinese scooters and ALL have broken plastics, usually at the mounting tabs (structural stress points). Have used many of these tricks, but saw a couple new ones. Every time I find a broken tab or piece of plastic, I save it in a jar. When I need to repair something, I dump out those pieces and match up the type of plastic I need and then reinforce with washers, aluminum tape, screen wire (the fiberglass screen wire is perfect), or scraps of metal. JB Weld makes a structural high strength industrial 2 part plastic epoxy that is awesome on plastic.
I tried fixing some motorcycle saddlebags where the bolts go through them and holds them to the fender. The holes where bolts go through had cracks going out to the edge of the molded plastic and one of them fell off my Harley going down the road. I melted washers into the plastic by heating the washer with a torch then I used zip ties to add plastic on top and around washers, similar to methods in your video. However, I had a problem getting the melted zip tie to adhere to the washer. It kept sticking to my soldering iron and wouldn't work well. I tried sanding one of the washers thinking it may be too smooth for melted plastic to adhere to it but had the same problem. Do you think my soldering iron was too hot or not hot enough? Maybe the zip tie plastic isn't the right plastic to use? My brother said he uses zip ties for all his plastic repairs and hasn't had a problem with it. Please help me because I really want/need this to work. The saddlebags would be expensive to replace. I hope to hear from you. Thank you! d:)

Thank you! d:)
