Some people are just looking for a fast and easy way to record their ideas, demos, and music. They may travel a lot, be on a tight budget or both, and most likely don’t have a lot of time and energy to spend on learning and maintaining a high tech home studio. If this sounds like you, then you’ve landed in the right place. I wanted to share this review for anyone who fits this profile, and I sincerely hope this presentation helps.

This unit is amazing, I have a 32sd tascam unit which is amazing but the br 80 is just a beast for its size and capability, I've recorded over 300 song ideas with it , it's literally like walking into a studio when you turn it on

    Thanks for posting this!
I use mine for practice (I run a cable from the headphone Jack to a pair of recording speakers) and as a preamp to go into my laptop. Nobody BUT NOBODY has ever commented that my guitar sounds bad. Quite the opposite in fact.
When you think that some of the best songs of all time were recorded with far less technology than this, it makes you realise just how powerful it is. Love it!

You hit the nail on the head. You don't need a ton of gear or even "high-tech" units in many cases to record a good sounding song. History has proven that. A little skill goes a long way with a decent piece of gear. Thanks for watching and sharing. 👍🏿

I love mine too.. sometimes I get rid of studio stuff softwares etc and use it.. and enjoy. It has covers small studio features which are packed in the most compact size ever.

Hey mate I have the same unit I can’t find the switch which switches from the internal mics to my lining for the big line and Jack.
You mentioned a switch he didn’t say where it was.
Also I’m visually impaired and the buttons are fantastic and the screen is pretty big also I have only learnt about the multitrack feature

Great video. Just a quick question. Is it possible to record the feed from a mixing desk to the BR-80? If so, a brief bit of help would be incredible. Thanks so much

Could you plug a condenser mic in this by going into an audio interface with XLR input right into the BR80? I’m trying to think if that’s the only way to plug a condenser mic into this… I know this until only has the option for Dynamic. Very informative video, Thanks

I would suggest using a mic preamp to do what your asking. That's the way I would go. Thanks for watching. 👍🏿

In the Stereo Multi/Modulation section you may be able to work that out. Play with it and let me know? Thanks for watching. 👍🏿

Got mine used and had to fix the scroll wheel (jumpy and not precise). The recording aspect is easy. I'm a bit turned off by a COSM multi effects. It's very limited in terms of clean tones to balancr out the plethora of hi gain sounds, which I seldom use.
Has anyone achieved a good clean, balanced tone? The reverb is limited to room, plate and hall and it's not part of the signal chain. It's a stand alone effect and it sucks.

got one 2nd hand now... the line-in isnt working... something to do within settings?
Als the recording freaked out (50min dj) not at all what Ive been playing... something of the end (faster music) is it early on already.

@@PowercoatMusic Can you mic up a guitar amplifier and record with it? The presets sound excellent. They work for pre-drafts, rough cuts and so forth. But for more serious recording, I'd rather mic up a guitar amp.

@@BeyondOurSolarSystem Yes you can. Have at it and let us know what you think.

The PS for the BR-80 is a DC 9V AC Adaptor. I'm not sure what the other is, maybe the same as that would make sense. Thanks for watching. 👍🏿
