I think it is the opposite. This work by Martucci is from1887 before Strauss wrote any of his famous Symhonic Poems. Strauss' Don Juan, the first famous piece he wrote was from 1888. Martucci's powerful 2nd piano concerto was from 1885. So no way he was influenced by Strauss. Wagner would be a different matter as he conducted Wagner opera's in Italy and was a big fan of his.

The work of Strauss that comes immediately to mind is the Four Last Songs, written about 60 years after Martucci's song cycle.
