Dozens of schools across India's capital region faced evacuations on May 1, due to bomb threats received via email, according to police reports. Although extensive searches were conducted in response, authorities found no evidence of any dangerous items. The threatening emails, which targeted as many as 100 schools in Delhi and the neighboring suburb of Noida, led to widespread panic among parents, prompting schools to dismiss students early. Television broadcasts captured scenes of concerned parents gathering outside school gates while police, aided by K-9 units and bomb disposal squads, thoroughly inspected the premises. The incident disrupted the routines of thousands of students ranging from grades 1 to 12. Delhi Police assured the public that all schools were examined according to established protocols, suggesting that the threats were likely hoaxes. Police officials said the emails appeared to be sent from Russia.

same happened in Bengaluru twice, once in 2023 and once in 2024, no bombs were found but it instilled fear in minds of kids, parents and the schools but the culprits couldn't be caught
