Matt saying he felt like he was waking up every day just trying to work on his mental health so he could reach some unattainable goal and not really feeling progress until he started just doing things on his own and putting more energy into that, just made so much sense. Therapy is important for sure but giving yourself time to just live your life and have experiences and expose yourself to the things that scare you is equally important and it can be so easy to focus too much on one and not the other.
