  • Evers-Williams’ day at CNR, which was planned to coincide with the conclusion of Black History Month and the start of Women’s History Month, began with cheers from students, faculty, staff, and honored guests as she entered a packed Romita Auditorium for her first event, an interview with ABC News senior legal correspondent and analyst Sunny Hostin.

I say it again and again. I love hearing Mrs. Evers-Williams speak and recount her story. She is quite an inspiring woman, a great educator and historian.

She's being used by these globalist special interest groups...and she is off base in many ways

My lord! I’d have never guessed her age. I knew her name, but in another video I was wondering if Mr. Evers daughter was speaking! We must appreciate the insights of this generation. They will be gone too soon & there’s so much we can learn. Thank you, Mrs. Evers-Williams. You’ve profoundly touched me.

It is utterly amazing to hear her speak then about what we know now has become a dark time in our country's history. She was SPOT on.

It was shocking for me too hear Mrs.Evers say that the movie was not accurate. Too me the movie deals with Mrs.Evers getting justice for her husband for 30 years and 2 trials, and finally the 3rd trial the Evers family recieved the justice for them and Medgar with a guilty verdict.

Roy Watley what she was saying that the movie was not about her husband. It was about the attorney and she didn’t like that movie for that reason!

@@milesclarke6592 yes I was thinking the same thing. The movie could've talked about Medger a lot more. It was like the white man gets a pat on the back for picking up something he didn't have to. The movie missed the reason for the fight in the first place.😢

"My Mylie, how would you add to the depiction of the movie and what was left out?"--"Well....just about all the most important facts of discriminatory practice by the Mississippi judicial system, as the movie focused primarily on the attorney and his unimportant private life and "struggle" with white racist society--even then, on a 2-dimensional level"---oh, Miss Mylie didn't way that at all it was my opinoin; they left that part out, so nice and polite. The profiteering production company which made that film also excluded the essential character of Mylie Evers so I had to go through a RUclips search to understand that the scriptwriters gave her character almost NO LINES so she was mostly silent and silenced throughout. She only expressed disdain for the CJ system and incredulous skepticism for the legal process in almost no words. She was portrayed as being a righteous but embittered widow seeking a retributive justice, instead of an activist continuing the campaign for Civil Rights.
