Thanks for sharing. Beautiful family. I am waiting for my checkride in N. California where the weather is unpredictable this time of the year. I promised my 10 year old girl that she would be my first passenger. I have 3 girls.
Yep. I’ve always taught them to keep it on their lips. It’s hard enough keeping the squelch set properly as is, and impossible when the mics are hanging 5” from their mouth. Thanks watching!
Glad you enjoyed it. I usually ballpark about 4 hours of endurance, which gets you about 400-500 nm. Obviously the exact values depend on many factors, but that gets you close.
Very nice! I really enjoy this airport and all the activities going on all the time. I looked at Northstar Flyers as well, they have some nice planes! I really like their Arrow. Maybe I’ll swing over to Lynx one day for some full service fuel and say hello.
It sure helps on a hot day having a smaller family! The Archer has just over 1,000 lb useful load, so even with full fuel I still have over 700 lb available for people and baggage. The Archer should serve us quite well even when the little ones are grown up.
Yes. He landed uneventfully with his electrical still working. The tower cleared him to land right away in case his electric did fail, which was smart. Good controllers at KANE!
Ha! We flew to Stillwater Minnesota. I just looked up KSWO and I see it’s near Stillwater OK. Maybe some day we’ll head down there. I’m based out of Anoka airport, KANE. Thanks for the comment!
Your daughter asking those questions just puts a smile on my face.I want to share my passion when I get kids when ever that day comes
Glad to hear it. They sure make flying more interesting!!
Nothing better than sharing your passion with your loved ones. Great video. Wish you a lot more great flights like this one.
Thank you! Hopefully we’ll get back up soon.
Heavy duty distractions and you handled it. Nicely done!
Thanks! That flight definitely had some distractions.
This is literally my dream.❤️❤️🥺 Subbed.
Thanks for posting this video. It's so inspiring to be able to bring your family to experience the passion of flight.
You’re very welcome. I’m glad you enjoyed it! Hopefully I’ll have some more posted soon after our weather warms up.
I remember flying my family to different places. It's been 6 years since I've flown and sure do miss it.
You should get back up! Even if it’s just a short flight with an instructor.
Beautiful family good sir.
Love your younger daighters curiosity.

Thanks, I’m glad you enjoyed it! Flying with my family is the best part.
I couldn’t believe how quick the checkride was. Blink, done!
Nice! My dad just got one, were all excited for our first family trips!
Thank you for sharing it with us.
Good job. Wait til you make that same run in a Cherokee 6 !
Are we on top of the planet but still inside?
My dad would come home from work when I was a kid and ask? Hey you wanna go flying son? Yea Yea yea Pop!!!!!
Great video, I pray you have more kids. God bless you & your family. Please try to upgrade your plane with a 2025 cessna h205t.
I was expecting the “I gotta pee” comment...lol! Sure as my wheels leave the ground...it never fails...🤦♂️
Haa! Isn’t flying with kids great?!!
I can't wait to do this with my family!! I'm 6'4", would I be able to fit in the archer?
I am 6’4” as well and fit well in Cherokees. Being taller, I much prefer low wing airplanes for better visibility.
All pilots should "feels like I'm kissing the squishy thing", that way other pilots and ATCs might actually hear what they say hi hi!
Yep. I’ve always taught them to keep it on their lips. It’s hard enough keeping the squelch set properly as is, and impossible when the mics are hanging 5” from their mouth. Thanks watching!
Thank for sharing!!!! Nice video!! What's the max range with full family on board?
Glad you enjoyed it. I usually ballpark about 4 hours of endurance, which gets you about 400-500 nm. Obviously the exact values depend on many factors, but that gets you close.
Bet ur flying right on the weight/balance limits haha
Hey that’s KANE! My home airport! I’m a line guy at Lynx and fly with the club Northstar Flyers!
Very nice! I really enjoy this airport and all the activities going on all the time. I looked at Northstar Flyers as well, they have some nice planes! I really like their Arrow. Maybe I’ll swing over to Lynx one day for some full service fuel and say hello.
Good thing is that your kids is so tiny, the performance is good.
It sure helps on a hot day having a smaller family!

Assuming the pilot with the electrical issue arriving after you made a safe landing?
Yes. He landed uneventfully with his electrical still working. The tower cleared him to land right away in case his electric did fail, which was smart. Good controllers at KANE!
You need to buy one of those portable air conditioners that run on ice.
I was thinking an SR22 with factory A/C.... but I think your idea might be more in my price range😀
You know what to do
What?
Subscribed after that 😂😂😂
My upcoming dream regarding family: Getting a pilot license and fly away with your beloved wife and kids for a trip. My life is complete after that.
It’s a lot of work but really worth it! Good luck to you!
Cool, did you fly into KSWO? What is home airport?
Ha! We flew to Stillwater Minnesota. I just looked up KSWO and I see it’s near Stillwater OK. Maybe some day we’ll head down there. I’m based out of Anoka airport, KANE. Thanks for the comment!
