    i bought my first boat last year and i getting all the help i need here in you tube. i just need to replace the water separator filter and with this video i didn't have any problem doing it .thanks for the tips

    Thank you for posting this video. I just bought a fuel/water separator for my older boat and this video helped a great deal. (Especially showing me a faster way to prime it from scratch as I also replaced all the fuel hose from the gas tank to the engine). Keep them coming!

    @crestlinersuperhawk Thanks for you comment! We love that you took the time to say something and you have good eyes too.
    Our point was to show people the technique or concept. We have many boats at the marina and just happened to use an old boat in for service!

    Yes that is a good idea it is always to try and keep that area and the under side of the filter bracket lubed to keep corrosion down around the gasket surface.

    Yes your are correct you should never put contaminated fuel into a filter. Fuel should be fresh and clean if you decide to use the method we have in this video.

    Don't you need to moisten the filter gasket with a little bit of motor oil? Didn't see that step.

    Never put unfiltered fuel into the fuel filter. That defeats the entire purpose of filtering the fuel when you contaminate the filter.
