We're so happy to hear this will help you with your project! If you have other June Tailor kits, we might have the video for those as well. We've done a number of projects from June Tailor recently. - Morgan
wonderful tutorial! I purchased these bibs awhile back and just stumbled across this video today - will be making these for my new great great niece due in January. THANK YOU!
Cute bibs. Use “Mini Wonder Clips” for curves and/or tight places, for they have a more pointed nose to them. I would say if your making lots of baby bibs, save those circles in making a mobile.
We love the idea of making a mobile with the circles from the bibs! That's a really cute idea! And Mini Wonder Clips are perfect for curves and tight places! - Morgan
Could vinyl or plastic be ironed on or something? My daughter has a 2 and 1/2 year old, uses plastic/vinyl bibs because they are so easy to clean. Otherwise, I just love this kit!
If you add the vinyl/plastic we'd recommend just wiping with a damp cloth. You'd want to follow the washing instructions for whatever vinyl or plastic you use (probably lay flat to dry). - Morgan
Jen can you one day show us newbies how to actually sew the binding on. I got the kit and had no problem putting the bibs together, but I have sewn two of the three bibs bias binding on and it looks horrible. I am afraid to do the third one.
Whew! I'm so glad you didn't leave that binding joint on the curve ;)! Very good explanation. You mentioned pre-treating the fabric with a stabilizer; are you at liberty to give the product name of your favorite? And do you also pre-treat the fabric used for the binding strips? No babies in my family, but this was a fun project to watch come together. I must check out some of JT's other pre-printed batting projects.
All of June Tailor's pre-printed batting projects have been so fun! We use Magic Sizing, which you can find at most big box stores for under $2 or $3 for a big bottle! Yes, we used it on everything including the binding strips for this project and it works beautifully. Thank you so much for watching! - Morgan
That is so exciting! We do have the batting available here: www.shabbyfabrics.com/Quilt-As-You-Go-Baby-Bibs-3-Pack-Batting-P72559.aspx Happy sewing! ~Leah

Thank you for the tutorial on these cute bibs. However, I have a comment about the pattern. The cutting instructions only have you the piece number and what size to cut the fabric - what piece of fabric to cut it from was not easily available. So I wrote out all the pieces for each bib, numbered according to the pattern and the had to look at the picture to figure it all out. It took me a day to get it all straight before O could cut. The k goodness O had the picture! Would there be a y better way June Tailor Quilts to identify this for us? I will try another of their products but if I run into the same problem, it may be my last. Again, tutorials help but not with identification and cutting. Thank you.
I ordered this set for my grandson coming in March. I didn't see it in the tutorial and haven't read the instructions yet because I'm working on other projects for him at the moment. What do you use to to secure the bib where the ends of the neckline meet? Thank you for all of the great ideas that you give us. Happy New Year!!!
We're using the Bernina 770 QE. We like to use the Dual Feed system that helps feed the fabric through more smoothly. It's kind of like a walking foot but not quite. - Morgan
When doing the binding around the square corners do you continue the same as the rest of the bib or do you mitre the corners like you would on a regular quilt pattern. I was hoping that the video would show adding the binding all the way around the bib.
We like to use Pellon. You can find that here: www.shabbyfabrics.com/fusible-fleece-987f-white-by-pellon-P70912.aspx Let us know if you have any other questions! - Morgan
Hi, thanks for the tutorial!! Can you please please add a tutorial on how to do the bib with just the 6 pieces? I am a total beginning sewer and am trying to make that bib for my friend who found out she was pregnant.
I love your presentations! This is so pretty and I have really learned with you about this method! Now I would love a bib kit, but wondering if they are available in the UK? We pay so much tax on its arrival here sadly! But I really would love to try this and more of her projects. Thank you for your great tutorial xx
Hi Elizabeth, I did a quick online search and yes these are available here in the UK. It's just the printed batting and pattern. They can be bought here ladysewandsew.co.uk/shop/jt1445-baby-bibs-quilt-as-you-go/ The cost is £7.50 plus approx. £1.95 for postage. The cute fabrics are not included, but I'm sure that your fabric shop will have something suitable. If you live near Marlow in Buckinghamshire you can order online and collect at the Lady Sew and Sew Yarn and fabric shop, Moy House , Institute Road, Marlow, Bucks, SL7 1BN. If you are near Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire, order online and collect at the Lady Sew and Sew Fabric & Yarn Warehouse and Sewing Centre, Farm Road, Henley on Thames Oxon, RG9 1EJ. Happy bib making!
Looks like @stephanie1971a found a good place in the UK! We wish we could send you these kits straight through the computer! ;) The collection is Go Fish by Northcott Fabrics. You might be able to find it there, or another great collection! Best of luck, let us know how your project goes! - Morgan
stephanie1971a Thank you! I will go and look. You get other things on Amazon but I didn't see your link at all. Great, and I'm sure I will have fat quarters for the bib as long as I get the pattern! X I ordered it! Can't see any other kits there though.
Shabby Fabrics , I've ordered the pattern, and looking forward to trying this...no doubt I will be watching you again!! Not many kits here though 😢, I might order from you to friends in Canada or USA and they would get it to me!
We hope you enjoy more videos! Let us know if you want any specific tutorials. Sounds like a great idea to ship it to the U.S. and have them get it to you. We ship free in the U.S. on orders over $75! :) - Morgan

Lovely bib and looks fairly easy to make too. Love the fabric also.
Happy that you love this project and glad that this tutorial has helped you! Thanks for your comment! - Abby
Great tutorial. I have these QAYG bibs. Glad to see this before I started to make them. I feel like I have a much clearer idea of how to tackle these.

I'd sew the binding to the back, then fold to the front and use a serpentine or decor stitch to sew it down.
That's a great idea! Thank you for sharing that with us! - Morgan
Very well done 👍. I appreciated the extra tips like using the Wonder clips.

It would be helpful if you demonstrated how you place the binding around the square of the neck tabs.
Thank you for the feedback! We will be sure to keep this in mind for future videos! - Sophie

Very cute Thanks

I'm new to quilting. Love your tutorials. How do these adorable bibs close? Seems like a goofy question, I know. LOL
That's a great question! We finished ours with velcro for the closure. You could use a snap if you wanted as well. - Morgan

Could vinyl or plastic be ironed on or something? My daughter has a 2 and 1/2 year old, uses plastic/vinyl bibs because they are so easy to clean. Otherwise, I just love this kit!
You could add a vinyl or plastic layer after you make the bibs, before you add the binding, sure! That would make these really easy to clean! - Morgan
@@ShabbyFabrics Do you think it would hold up to daily washing?
