  • In this easy cooking video, I cook a boneless beef striploin roast in my toaster oven. The cooking time for this 3 lb beef roast was an hour and 5 minutes in a 300 degree F oven. I cooked the roast to an internal temperature of 120 degrees F and then covered it with foil and let it rest for about 30 minutes before serving. Jim, I've never even seen this cut of meat before, a strip loin roast! It's really QUALITY meat!! Strip steaks are a favorite of mine! MMM! Great job with the toaster oven! Amazing!

I have to admit I was a bit nervous when you put that nice cut of beef in the toaster oven, but it turned out excellent.

Yeah, I don't think it could have turned out much better cooked any other way!

Wow Jim, just wow! I'm not gonna lie, when I heard you say you was going to cook that in your toaster oven and not on your Weber with the SmokenSear I thought you had made a horrible mistake. I should have remembered you're the swami of toaster ovens! That looked simply amazing! I swear I could even smell that here in KC while I was watching you cut it up! Cheers

LOL Yeah, it did turn out pretty darn good! I thought about doing it on the Weber but it was raining so I just went with the toaster oven. It didn't disappoint!

The great thing about cooking one of those roasts. You can have steak again and slice thin for roast beef sandwiches. yum

Hey Jim I saw that you uploaded this today in the morning but I had to get to work and told myself don't forget to watch this when you get home, so here I am :-) 130' works for us minus covering it with foil :-) Great looking meal :-) That baked potato looked great too :-) A "BIG" thumbs up Northern California neighbor :-) ROCK ON!!!!!!!

Thanks Fred! I wonder how much higher the internal temperature climbs resting, covered with foil, vs without? That might be a video idea! Rock on!

Cooked to death. With such a small roast,,, cook at 250f til thermometer reads 115 degrees. Take it out and tent it. After 30 minutes it will be a perfect medium-rare 130f.

The color looks to me like you over cooked it, doesnt look like 125 internal temp, a great mthod i use for oven roasts is to pre heat the oven to 475 and cook at 8-10 minutes per pound at 475 then shut the oven completely off but leave the roast in for 50-60 mins and it comes out perfectly every time
