the reason it takes so long is they need to build a case and close any possible loopholes the defendant might use to get off fully or a lesser charge. they don't want to risk the trial being thrown out for various reasons when a case is rushed.
I’m not saying you’re wrong but I feel like part of the anger is because there have been plenty cases where they take there time “to close loop holes and build cases” and then the cop gets acquitted and only gets a paid suspension. So people don’t even see his arrest as progress, because they seen this all play out before.

I love how stand up comics in particular are able to have these type of conversations. Something about how honest they are about themselves, that introspection carries over into heavy stuff. Santino - it's absolutely not your duty to voice your opinion on social media. Condensing things into that format is probably the biggest factor behind the widening division of ideologies. You make a difference by talking about it in conversations like these and making it public (via podcast/RUclips like this). The back and forth, the context, the open-ended nature of having a conversation with a real life person is the only way to "change someone's mind".
Dude completely agree brother. I am way more touched by these longform-ish podcasts especially from comedians. The whole art of comedy is mixing with the art of broadcasting. Really wonderful to see.

the reason it takes so long is they need to build a case and close any possible loopholes the defendant might use to get off fully or a lesser charge. they don't want to risk the trial being thrown out for various reasons when a case is rushed.
I’m not saying you’re wrong but I feel like part of the anger is because there have been plenty cases where they take there time “to close loop holes and build cases” and then the cop gets acquitted and only gets a paid suspension. So people don’t even see his arrest as progress, because they seen this all play out before.

I love how stand up comics in particular are able to have these type of conversations. Something about how honest they are about themselves, that introspection carries over into heavy stuff.
Santino - it's absolutely not your duty to voice your opinion on social media. Condensing things into that format is probably the biggest factor behind the widening division of ideologies.
You make a difference by talking about it in conversations like these and making it public (via podcast/RUclips like this). The back and forth, the context, the open-ended nature of having a conversation with a real life person is the only way to "change someone's mind".
Dude completely agree brother. I am way more touched by these longform-ish podcasts especially from comedians. The whole art of comedy is mixing with the art of broadcasting. Really wonderful to see.
@Dylan L I will say I only caught the first 15 minutes before I commented and they probably made fart jokes and yelled at girl Bobby to speak into the mic for the last 75 minutes. But that's not really the point. Even ruminating over the situation and admitting they have mixed feelings for a few minutes has adds 100x more depth to what's going on than a stupid tweet or Reddit comment. Those are not actual conversations, even if you engage in the replies. Not even close.
