What touches this mother's heat is that Mrs. Eunice Shriver formed Special Olympics simply to give our children who have special needs the same things that our typical kids have. Then she poured her heart and energies into it. Not out of pity simply out of love and respect. Thank you!
I’m a single mom of a special needs young lady. I’m thankful for the awareness, love & effort that Eunice brought to the world for our beautiful special kids. I’m glad to know that Maria is picking up her mom’s torch of love for the world’s special ones. It gives us mom’s encouragement and hope that someone cares. Thank you Eunice, Maria and P&G! I’m proud of all my kids, but there is no better feeling when Jenna receives her Special Olympics ribbons!! Maria, Eunice did change the world!!

As a parent with a "Special Needs" child I appreciate all this woman has done for these kids and adults with "Special Needs",and for starting "Special Olympics". I teach several young adults who compete every year and I coach them for free and help them achieve their goals ,and gladly lend my horses to them. Thank you for having the insight so many years ago and helping so many dreams come true for these "Special " people !!

As a Program Director of Special Olympics Texas I wish that I could have met Eunice so much :-) Our athletes in Special Olympics Texas are so grateful for your mother and we will forever honor her!!!! I will always love the Kennedys! I remember my mom telling me about the help she and her family received when she was little by the then President Kennedy. Living a small village in Mexico, she remembers about the times when they received beens and rice from President Kennedy. She said it was the kindest thing a president had done for her. A president from another country sending food care to a small village in Mexico. I will always remember the kindness and generosity of the Kennedys.

I began sharing in Special Olympics first as a sister, when my sister passed away (or as she put it "went to run with Jesus")- I had the opportunity to be involved throughout my school years. And most recently as a parent. Special Olympics has been a large part of my life and I am thankful Special Olympics exists.

Thank you for this.. I did want to see this... I worked as a teenager, with a program, that someone out west here started in British Columbia , called Teen's help the Handicapped .. aka TH2 .. I still have my certificate.. I learned alot that summer, and became enriched, and a happier person...I was the one, that learned a lot.. and I am the one so thankful for it!.. Happy Mothers Day...to all mom's, everywhere..

Eunice Shriver cared the most about Rosemary Kennedy, and as a result... was inspired about making the world an inclusive place for special people. Rosemary's life changed the world into a better place, Eunice saw to that. Every family is touched by someone like Rosemary in some way. I love Eunice Kennedy.

Absolutely amazing. We have a,"Camp Shriver" in my town. I always kinda' wondered where the money came from for all of the great things they do for kids....now I know. If we could not only love our children but also teach them to love others. Then, we will have been successful.
