    I'll never understand why people get long haired dogs if they don't want to take care of their coat🤦🏿‍♀️

      Exactly I'm with u ..I own a Chinese Crested Powder puff and they have a long full double coat .I keep him in it and do all his grooming .I know alot of people get the breed and shave the coat shirt ..Why ? If you want a short coated dog then buy one .Stupid people sometimes

    Brittany: I'm going to get you!!! You told us that Teddy had to be sedated, which made this video quite interesting. Before his groom, he looked like a sweet little mop🥰🥰🥰 you know I have an affinity for alls dogs Shih Tzu!!!♥️♥️♥️♥️ Anyway, I find your grooms very relaxing, but guess what happened to me: I fell asleep!🤯🤯🤯 And, it is YOUR fault!!! So, I had to go back & rewatch parts of the video. Brittany, you are a great Dog Groomer! Now, Teddy had to have a close shave down; he gets groomed only twice a year?! 🥺 I'm glad he was able to be awake for the groom! Brittany, your work never fails to be immaculate; it is a great thing you do to explain what you are doing & the tools you use on the dogs. I love how you tell us about spraying the cold water in the eyes after lathering up the face to get the product out of the eyes to prevent irritation. And, you lather the whole face & get into Teddy's eye area to get rid of eye boogers that accumulate in those folds, which are present with Shih Tzus.♥️♥️♥️ Love a Shih Tzu! Precious little lap warmers! You are consistent with this. And, naturally when you did those legs & feet: Yes, Yes, Yes!!! This is a strong point! So careful clipping those hairs & ALWAYS the feet are sculptured: I love to watch you groom, especially the feet. Brittany, I love how detailed & methodical you are with the dogs you groom. You had to do some brushing & demat & clipping with Teddy's tail. The end result is gorgeous: Teddy looked so handsome in his After pictures & he still looked like a Shih Tzu!!!🥰 Brittany, you know what my assessment is: Excellent!!!😃 Keep doing the wonderful work that you always do with your grooms. [PS: I didn't fall asleep from boredom-you are never that. I had a terrible headache & my medicine is sedating. 😴😴😴Please forgive my rambling & all typos!] ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A true sculptress: 😇 Brittany!

    Such a cutie after the groom. Not sure if it was the medication, but seemed pretty chill. As for the leg - arthritis? Broken leg healed wrong? Genetics? Seems like it could be painful. A common hereditary condition in Shih Tzus is patella luxation, or abnormal mobility or displacement of the kneecap.

    I just had my pomeranian groomed. He's not crazy about it. I took him to the vet, and they prescribed him some medication, but it made him very sick. I just stay with him now, and he seems to do a lot better! You did a great job with Teddy!

    Always seems to be a Shih Tzu. I’ve had Shih Tzu all my life and they are the BEST dogs. So lovable and sweet. I’ve seen some demons in some of these Grooming videos. Are you sure this dog needs medication. Difficult dogs tend to be difficult with or without medication. This dog doesn’t seem to have a bit of aggression. Also, my vet tells me 30 minutes to an hour max for sedation before a groom. Two hours seems a bit excessive. You do beautiful work though and you really seem to care so I enjoy watching your videos. I just hate that it’s always the Shih Tzu. They’re such a good breed

    Just watching for the 1st time, so next time you get sick, buy fresh ginger and put nice size chunks in the tea (green) and honey. But also chew a little in between drinking tea. Its strong but it cuts flem and soothes a sore throat aside from clearing your sinus cavity.

    For cough, turmeric ginger tea with honey and pepper 2 times a day. And midday a tablespoon of honey with pepper

    Teddy is a perfect gentleman today. You did a great job as always. You asked about Teddy`s leg, I think his knee cap slips out of place. If that's the case he would require surgery to tighten up his joint.

    Despite what people think, Gabapentin is Not narcotic.

    • @kimnavrotsky5278
      @kimnavrotsky5278 9 месяцев назад

      Gabapentin is most commonly used now for nerve pain. My vet prescribes Gabapentin for pain. I don’t think it’s the best choice for sedation during grooming. But then I’m not the vet or the owner.

    Oooh all that beautiful snowy white fur just looked as if it was melting off him. Teddy is so cute. I always feel so sad when matted dogs have to lose their fur... I adore those furry Teddy legs, but it's got to go. I think he has a week we cap that moves around so his leg won't be as stable as it should be. His groom has made him so handsome, his bow tie just completes his look. Well done you,, another miracle groom.

    My doctor told me to take an antihistamine for any respiratory issues. It works!
    It could be the dog fur exasperating your respiratory issues. The antihistamine should help.

    Looks like his front paws may be hurting when they’re picked up. Also for the tail I feel like a rat tail is in the pups best interest when the owner is letting them become a matted mess. Gj

    Just so you know there is no such thing as a conditioner shampoo. I learned that in school. Shampoo is a stripping agent so therefore it cannot have conditioner in it. The product might tell you that but they're just trying to get you to buy it. You should always use an actual conditioner to replace some of the oils you just removed.

    Maybe you need a mask on. There's a lot of fluff and dust from skin cells floating around you.. Your immune system might have been low for some reason at that time. Have you tried a spoonful of Apple Cider Vinegar a day for awhile.

    I know I’ve said it before but I really hate you shaving the bit above their lips. 😢It makes them look weird. I just trim mine so no fur in mouth and they retain their lovely look. The last photo ( before this video ) you put up of before and after that dog also looked weird and it’s definitely NOT flattering at all. It’s because it’s nearly always black and especially on white dogs it’s not attractive
    You say on your videos to post what we like abs what we don’t. Well I definitely don’t like that.

    • @TheLuvOfDogs
      @TheLuvOfDogs  7 месяцев назад +1

      That’s ok. It’s your opinion to have but just so you know they do shave show dogs mouths just like that. I prefer it shaved so it keeps the hair from growing too fast into their mouth and so do the owners of the dogs I work on.
