@@MyLadyAmalthea I love Anne raspberry too, it is a fall bearing variety so you might start harvesting this fall. The new growth will give you some fruits this year in fall and again in spring with the same stem. Yeah, sometimes the seller make a mistake of sending you the wrong plant.
Both are sweet but the fall gold is sweeter than Anne. With the size fall gold is small while Anne is medium to large. I like them both, I cannot choose which one.
THANK YOU for posting a beautiful video. Ignore the person who responded above, they don’t get it. Is there any way you can provide some instructions on how you got your’s so lush? I am enjoying Autumn Gold now. Do we fertilize in Fall?
I apply fertilizer to my raspberry plants in early spring with the slow release granular organic fertilizer. I used the espoma garden tone herb and vegetable fertilizer. I saw espoma have fertilizer for Berries, next spring I am planning to use that and see. Thank you for checking out my video!
@@njandtxgarden7044 other than wedding and pruning dead from the ground (for 1 crop) or cutting off the tops that fruited (for ever bearing ) what do you do for FALL care? Just mulch? Not sure where I heard about applying fertizlier, really does it make sense!
@@gingerfield1089 with pruning I usually prune my 2 year old canes both summer and fall bearing right after harvest to make space for the new growth. With my everbearing I let them fruit twice (spring and late summer), after the new growth fruited in late summer I held my tip pruning until end of winter or early spring.
You have so nice raspberry bushes. I currently have Anne and Nova, I like the sweet taste of Anne, but Nova tastes a bit tart, I want to get more varieties but can't find the exact info about how they taste. According to your opinion, what is the best variety among them?
Hi, thanks for the video. How exactly do you grow your raspberries? Are they all grow together in one spot? or they scattered in different locations around your garden? as I planted gold raspberries next to my autumn raspberries and they (gold) turned pink . thanks in advance
Some of those raspberries look huge! I finally got some bare root raspberrie and a few potted raspberries to grow this year (last year every one i tried didn't survive) and the berries ive gotten so far are not nearly as big. I have Anne, Caroline, and Willamette that I've gotten berries off of so far. Maybe next year I will get more and larger ones once the raspberries have become more established. Just curious, do you know if either primocane or floricane berries are larger usually or do they usually produce about the same size of fruit? Thanks!
The size depends on the variety. Based on mine cascade gold is the biggest of all the variety that I have, next is Willamette and Anne. Polka and caroline are medium size. Fall gold, double gold and heritage are small.
The golden variety are sweeter than the red ones as I can remember but I have to check it/taste again and make note of each to accurately say which is the sweetest of all the 9 varieties I have right now in my garden. I'm still waiting for 6 varieties to ripen so I can compare them all to each other. I might make a video of the taste testing. Thank you for checking out my channel.
😕 I was hoping this video was going to talk about the different varieties and how they taste. Luckily I only wasted about 5 minutes before I skipped forward to find out that it was only a video showing someone picking raspberries. Apparently it is difficult to find someone who will actually describe the varieties and let people know which varieties are sweet and which are tart.
Awesome video I definitely am planting raspberries now. Thanks
Enjoy planting, you will be rewarded with loads of raspberries.
What a lovely, soothing video. Enjoying it with a cup of tea and dreaming my raspberry patch will someday look like yours!
Glad you enjoyed it! If you planted them this year, next year you should get more harvest. What variety do you have?
@@njandtxgarden7044 right now I just have Anne, but and possibly Bababerry (I’m not convinced my source sent me the right plants)

Wow, they look stunning 😍
Thank you!
Gorgeous video!! I'm curious, between Fall Gold and Anne, which one do you prefer?

Which of the yellow varieties is most productive? I picked up fall gold and double gold.
They are equally the same, both productive and sweet. The downside with these two are the size, they are small.

For my taste, Cascade gold is the best, it is sweet and very juicy plus they are the biggest but they bear fruit only once a year.

You can plant together the gold, yellow and red together, spacing them 2 feet apart.

I wish I could buy and grow raspberries in my country. Sadly can't find raspberry plants here 😢😢
Which country do you live? If you don't mind me asking.
