    One of the car I loved driving the most. Bucket seat with harnesses is one of the best mods (with a proper steering wheel) for this little hot hatch. Extremely funny, especially thanks to the fact it's pretty easy to drive at its limit. A friend of mine tuned one of these with pretty similar setup and asked me to make a proper ECU tuning on it, so I had the possibility to test out pretty hard engine and chassis of this little french toy. I literally fell in love with it after the first corner. I liked a lot the pedals position, it's pretty easy to perform heel and toe also during hard driving! Glad to see one of these on this Channel

    I don´t own this particular car but I can relate a lot to this video.
    Had a MK2 Saxo VTS Cup 1.6 16 valves and boy oh boy words can´t describe how much I miss that little rocket.
    This video reminded me of that car, I believe the C2 VTS has the same engine with just minor differences in the internals.
    Loved how the Saxo handled the corners. Mine was 100% stock, the engine was healthy, the only thing i´ve changed was the tires to get more grip.
    I think that people don´t understand how much potencial these little frenetic french cars have in the right hands.
    There is something about high revving natural aspirated engines and light cars!
    Track days on that car were a blast, and in twisties roads that car could outrun some big boys.
    I own a 99 Impreza GT Prodrive now, it´s a great car don´t get me wrong but man, that little Saxo :D
    Great video as always Misha, and congrats on that amazing fun car Nicolaas!
    Have fun and drive safe.

      Exactly! I own a C2 Loeb myself (VTS trim variant). Off the line, you'd be outrun by just about everything in a straight line, but come into some twisties and you'd be shocked with the cars you can get held up by! I regularly come across dudes who think they're hot shit in their relatively new M Sport BMW's, Audi's, Golfs etc showing off accelerating hard off the lights, but then when the corners come up, I catch up in an instant, and I'm held up by them stuck behind their rear bumpers. The F2/Kit Car/S1600 lineage of these small French hatches really does show in the corners.
      Always good to humble these types with only a 16 year old Citroen and some skill

    you brake too early and not enough with your left foot to keep power with your right foot, maybe the tires are too big and I didn't remember that the power was so high in the rpm 🤔😬

    • @NicolaasPhotography
      @NicolaasPhotography 2 года назад +1

      Possible, my comfort and expirence aren't at that level yet, if I'm honest.
      Max power is around 6.5k rpm

    Hey, Does anyone know if the Vts or Code came with cruise control in UK/EUROPE ?? Really want one but i need CC

    • @NicolaasPhotography
      @NicolaasPhotography Год назад

      They didn't come with CC, however of the phase II cars it a question of getting a CC module, and programming the car for. Literally checking a box, and it should work.

      You dont know any things of cars when you say that.
      French cars has always made the best gti small cars.
      Its only because in your eyes its only german cars.
      German cars is too heavy and you cant make a GTI with high weight thats why french cars is more fun its all about weight.
      Its not a gti with a weight of 1400-1500 kg like at golf r.

    I know you like driving cars to it limit. Why not a real challenge drive any SUV brand just a regular SUV that you buy at the Dealership no modification and test it out on the track. Then tell us how good it is I recall you did drive a Van one time. So you up to the New challenge in the year 2023.

    i really do miss C2, i lost it to a crash on the highway because of some random bullshit after a tight corner and i had to save other drivers and not go down the bridge(20m+ high) so i just banged it against the rails, really sad

      ESP was kicking in a lot! Due to the crop that was used to display you can't see that.
      However, I know after pulling some fuses the ESP is pretty "agressive" in slowing down the rear wheels.
      Without ESP it's more lively, which is fun!
