In the movie, when Elsa is singing "Let it Go" she's still wearing the white glove that she'd used for years to prevent herself from actually touching people and potentially freezing them. And during this song she throws the glove off. But Superfruit didn't have any white gloves handy, so Mitch used a towel.
A point that's impressive given that they're goofing around so much during this was that when Mitch cracked up during the "snow" scene, how quickly he shook it off, got right back into character and finished strong.
That blonde wig appears in a *lot* of Superfruit videos; it's practically a character in its own right. BTW, I was very impressed that you immediately recognized Scott's black "wig" as Kirstin's hair. I didn't realize it until the camera pulled back, the first time I saw this.
This one never fails to put a smile on my face. Scott is 6'3-6'4" (depending on what you read). Everyone thinks Mitch is short because he looks it next to Scott the giant, but he's actually just shy of 5'10. Idk if anyone else explained what was happening in the bloopers at the end, but apparently growing up one of their ways to goof-off and have fun was like these "who can sing the worst/most off key" competitions (just to make each other laugh, I guess). In other words, that's them trying to sing badly. So... even when trying to sing badly they sing better than many people lol.
It's actually harder for a trained singer to sing badly than correctly because they have to fight against years of training and natural instincts to do it. I believe that game was made to make each other laugh, yes, but also to challenge themselves. From what I understand they normally do it at least until someone "loses" by not being able to sing badly anymore (or cracking up with laughter), or basically "last one standing." If true, Kirsten lost that round by practically dropping in laughter after that last shriek, lol.
@@ChibiChula I know that they've been playing this game since high school, and I find it very easy to believe that it's harder for them to sing out of tune than in. Glad to have the "rules" explained. Thanks.
Kirstie has been in Broadway in Kinky Boots. She and Mitch are definite Disney princesses. I am most impressed with Mitch's sustained high note in the beginning with a bent diaphragm.
Along with all the other awesome suggestions from the other commenters, Superfruit’s Hiphop goes broadway part 1 and part 2 are not to be missed. The level of Mitch and Scott’s genius in rearranging music is astounding in those two vids.
Wow, what a rabbit hole you stepped into. For Superfruit, my recommendations would be "Rise", "Guy.Exe" and "Defying Gravity". But for Pentatonix, have you done their collaboration with Toddrick Hall yet, "The Wizzzard of Ahhhz"?
what's amazing is that the three of them have been friends since they were little kids, they basically grew up together and have been singing together since they were in high school! and you can never go wrong with superfruit, they have regular medleys the same way PTX does them, but they also have a lot of those goofy vlog type videos and they even sing in some of them, like their Karaoke Game for example. Not to mention they have released one album of their original music, i think you'd really enjoy it. Their most popular song is Guy.exe cause it went viral last year on tiktok, but the whole album is full of bangers. hope to see you react to more of them!
Congrats! You're one of the few reactors who immediately figured out that Scott was using Kirstie's hair as his "wig" at the beginning of the video! That's good observational talents! I'll sign that petition to have Kirstie sing in a Disney movie! And yes - Scott is about a foot taller than Kirstie. It's pretty obvious when they are standing next to each other in "normal" shoes. Kirstie normally wears shoes with several inches of heels when she's onstage, since she's by far the shortest member of the group. Pentatonix has actually released a "real" version of Let It Go, where Mitch and Kirstie switch off on the lead vocals. It's kind of a fun song to listen to (there's no official video, just a "Yule Log" one), because they switch off at some "odd" places in the song, and their voices sound very much alike. They've been singing together for a long time, and Mitch especially will alter his vibrato to sound more like Kirstie. ruclips.net/video/PmepmkccHRE/видео.html
I think you would REALLY LOVE Kirstie in Come Along and Havana...she shines so brightly (so do the others, but her talent really comes through in those two). Can't Hold Us is a showcase for all of them (with Avi).
Scott, Mitch & Kirsty have said they met both when they were 8 & 10 years old. It may be because they were in "Charlie & the Chocolate Factory" and "Annie", so both ages are probably correct. In any case, they were young children. They reconnected in high school choir & grew close. There are several videos of them singing alone and together within the you tube universe. You may want to pause the video when you want to say something because when you don't, most of what you say is lost. Either because this word or that phrase can't be heard over the singing or the viewer is more interested in the singing over what you are saying. Then go back 10 seconds or more before you start it up again so you don't miss what might be a very pivotal point in the song or storyline. Glad you stuck around for the bloopers. Superfruit videos always have bloopers at the end.
They all actually met as kids doing children's theatre & then honed their harmonies in choir. Kirstie's confidence really soared after she was in Kinky Boots-check out their live Seasons of Love(Rent) performance from a Capital 4th & Waving Thru A Window (Dear Evan Hanson)! Also, check them out live from the Very Wicked Halloween special singing Loathing! So freaking great! Loved this!
Love how much you enjoyed their friendship and silliness! Some of my favorite Superfruit videos of them being goofy together are the Dance Party episodes. There's one with little clips of each song on PTX volume 3, one with just Can't Sleep Love, and one with little clips of each song on the Pentatonix self-titled album where they are also playing with different Photo Booth effects during each song. If you're interested in checking out something non-musical, the Ghost Hunting episode is hilarious!
The trio, Scott Kirstie and Mitch were all musical theatre nerds growing up and it shows in their ability to act in any of their videos. Several Superfruit videos that you'll love just for the harmonies: Happy Little Pill, Rise, Empire medley, Pop Goes Broadway, Lost On You.
The 3 of them grew up together so they are very close. Kirstie has done Disney and Broadway. Everyone has done something on their own since PTX has done good but say the 5 always comes before 1. Mitch isn't the only one with a high pitched voice, check out Seasons of Love
Superfruit's Rise, in response to an LGBT mass shooting, is stunning. Their original Guy.exe is a great song, but also hilarious. So glad you are doing Superfruit. Their Evolutions are also excellent.
This is so fun! As you said, they sound great even when they are singing with crazy wigs and a sheet for a backdrop and just being goofy. Perhaps someone mentioned that Mitch and Scott met when they were 9 & 10 respectively singing in a local production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Scott was Charlie and Mitch was Mike TV. Kirstie met Mitch around the same time, and the three were in many choirs and musicals together through Jr. High and High School. So they have been singing and goofing around together for many years. The tight harmonies and their love for each other is part of why I enjoy watching PTX so much.
So happy about your heartfelt reaction. 💗 Your teary eyes told me how much you enjoyed it and I was really touched watching you. Of course "Defying Gravity" is a Must Do, an incredible experience, but also great is their "Empire Medley".
They have been doing this since they were in high school (all 3 of them together) Scott and Mitch have been best friends since 10 yrs old. This is like the best singers in the world!!! Going to their bedroom and goofing around. How amazing and fun!!!
There are two kinds of SuperFruit videos -- vlog videos and music videos for their original songs. The vlog started in 2013 when Mitch and Scott were sharing an apartment. Most of the episodes are chat about their lives, comedy and RUclips challenges; no music but some are worth reacting to. Occasionally, there was a musical episode like this. They would put a scene together, sometimes with guests. Or they would get obsessed with a current album or performer, put together a medley, rent a studio, and record it, usually with Mitch arranging and playing piano. In 2016, they got serious, started writing and arranging original songs and worked with experienced songwriters, producers, vocal editors and engineers to record them. They released about a dozen songs on two "Future Friends" EP's (later combined into an album). Then they worked with a variety of professional videographers to make high-quality music videos for almost all of them -- sets, costumes, dancers, choreography, etc. The most watched of the originals is "guy.exe", but I like "Imaginary Parties" and "Hurry Up"
Tyler- thank you for making me 😁and 😂. I love your spot-on reactions! I would love to be their friend, too. I recommend that you watch Superfruit doing Empire Medley or Guy.exe which is a really fun mv. Mitch doing a solo cover of Your Power will also just blow your mind; it is so gorgeous. I LOVE Mitch, too. I was at their recent concert and was in the 8th row waving at him like a crazy person and hoping he would wave back 😊. They all were 🤯 and I can’t wait for another opportunity to see them in concert someday.
They make my day every day, honestly. Superfruit did this type of thing every now and then, pretty much just goofing around, still flooring all of us with their unbelievable talent. Check out Hip Hop Goes Broadway parts 1 and 2, super funny and still mind-blowingly good, just like always
This is one of the best videos ever! I’m so happy you watched this. I’m also excited that you realized there were bloopers. Definitely you should watch Defying gravity. This makes me so happy!
You can tell the depth of their friendship and how much the know and love eachother. Scott and Mitch have been friends since they were very young, in elementary school and in middle school they met Kirstie and the 3 of them were inseparable.
I just found this collection of PTX Tiktok stairwell songs and other song pieces and When You Wish Upon A Star is one of them. Link: ruclips.net/video/u00qMgj4I_o/видео.html
Kirstin was originally going to major in musical theater. She and Scott each had one year of college before The Sing-Off. As noted down-thread, Scott is 6 ft 3. But Kevin is 6 ft. 1. The two of them just tower over everyone else, especially Mitch and Kirstin (5 ft. 4). The towel is Elsa's glove. They are all more or less 22 here (Scott is the eldest by a few months). That blonde wig shows up in a couple of other videos!
Everyone says that Kirstie is basically a real life Disney princess. She sings like one, she's beautiful, and 2 of her dogs are named Olaf and Pascal (Tangled). I have no idea why she hasn't done a Disney movie yet. Also PTX did a full cover of let it go on one of their christmas albums quite a long time ago. It's definitely not their best work compared to today's epicness, but it is still very good.
I'm rooting for the Empire Medley (a medley of songs from the tv show Empire) because I adore it or the Anti Medley because they really did Rhianna justice with that one. Though their Beyoncé Medley was approved by the "Queen B" herself (which they freaked out about, lol) and is apparently "flawless." If you want to hear them rapping check out Feeling Myself. The most funny ones other than this one are probably their Hip-hop Goes Broadway 1&2. Do not miss the bloopers on those, OMG! 😂 They also have one featuring Todrick Hall (that I can't remember the name of right now) where they basically have to improvise songs based on prompts that's both hilarious but also displays their talent. I'm forgetting a few (apart from their originals) but honestly it's all good. They also have individual work you might want to check out some day! 😁👍
All of them were theatre kids from age 8 or 10. Scott and Mitch met performing in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as children. For a completely different take on Superfruit, might I suggest 'Goodbye from Lonely.'
Love your reactions... Mitch's high notes.. you absolutely have to check out Pentatonix... A-ha the Singapore Star Vista.. it's live and will blow your mind. The ultimate Mitch slap... more like knock out....
Don't miss Guy.exe , one of their professionally produced videos as Superfruit. You will be singing it all day between bouts of laughter. Think "Young Frankentein" meets EDM
Would love to see you react to Superfruit's Hip Hog Goes Broadway (1 & 2) and Feeling Myself! If you want incredible and emotional, listen to their cover of Rise - Scott and Mitch are joined by 3 of their friends for this cover after the Pulse tragedy
Loved this, i enjoy watching their videos as it shows how true their friendship is and honestly if I could have just one friendship like theirs, I'll forever be happy. I would love to see your reaction to any superfruit video, especially Defying Gravity, but you're smart to wait as it blows everything out of the water. I recommend their La La Land medley, another fun goofy one of theirs, one of their originals from their album future friends that I really enjoy is The Promise. It is a beautiful song and they do an amazing job as always.
I would like to suggest to you Voctave featuring Kirstin Maldonado and Jeremy Michael Lewis Disney Love Medley. Also Disney Princess Medley, also from Voctave. (Voctave is an eleven member a capella group from Orlando Florida who have all worked for Disney World.)
Disney?? where you at??? I agree, Hey Igr,...Kirstie....Princess...... listen to the fans !!! LOL Scott tall Kirstie....ummm not LOL. And the blonde wig makes yet ANOTHER appearance lol. This is so fun. Mitch truly has one of the most beautiful voices in musicdom. That is an amazing friendship on display there.
It seems as if there may have been a little alcohol involved when they filmed this 🤷🏻♂️ Even though this was a Superfruit video, I do believe it was Kirstie that really shined as a Disney princess here.
If you love Kristen's vocie with the disney songs you should check out VOCTAVE disney love melody that kristen is featured in. It is true amazing and with of my favorite things to listen to in my hold life.
Hey…there is a video where they are playing a game where they pull out names of groups out of this holder and sing whoever it is… I think there were 100 and they got the highest score… I think they got 80 something in 10 minutes…awesome
Can you pleaseee react to Bass Gang ft Lauren Paley: Hide and Seek! It is insanely cool a capella and the bass drops and beat boxing will literally blow your mind.. at the very least check it out on your own, the talent is real!! Especially for how young most of them are (one's only 16 I think!) And they recorded it on 3 different continents (they all live around the world) then they edited it together and made magic!! 🤗
If you want to get a taste of their "real" acting ability, the three of them did a guest spot on the television show Bones. There's a clip out there, of all their parts. The music is fantastic, but so is their acting. ruclips.net/video/RIjyzpX2ER4/видео.html The episode end credits uses one of their original songs, "Light in the Hallway".
That blonde wig has been in a few skits. Scott is 6'3" but he should be around 6'6-7:". He has scoliosis and had to wear a brace for 5yrs to help his back, but it's still crooked but it hasn't stopped him.
What I've always wondered is how Scott and Kirstie managed to tear up all that paper without Mitch noticing.
Him screwing around breaking character is far better than 95% people who are doing it seriously!!
This is my second fave Superfruit video. Should watch Defying Gravity next, it brings me to tears every time
Oh man, he will really flip over Mitch in that one!
@@CabinFever52 he surely will! I watched this countless times and it still hits me 😊
Defying Gravity is a must-see!

In other words, that's them trying to sing badly. So... even when trying to sing badly they sing better than many people lol.
Better than me, for sure!!
singing in perfect off-key harmony - a new art form for sure!
In my filk group we call it "Singing in the key of Q," except we mostly do it by accident. ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Filk_music )
It's actually harder for a trained singer to sing badly than correctly because they have to fight against years of training and natural instincts to do it. No matter how many times I see this, I end up in tears of laughter. “Can I hang out with them and be their friend?” Said every Pentaholic ever. 😂🤣🤭
Their Empire Medley is a BLINDING display of Scott and Mitch's vocal and arrangement prowess, absolutely mind-blowing
I love Kirstie’s look in this video, her hair color, her outfit, her playfulness, looks like she’s having a blast

Friendship Goals 😂
Always make sure you watch for bloopers. You will definitely enjoy the dive into Superfruit

❤ SUPERFRUIT!!! And their 2 original LP’s “Future Friends Part 1 & 2” are 🔥🔥🔥
Can’t wait to watch more with you.
The towel represented the glove that Elsa was wearing, and she ripped it off right at the point where Mitch threw off the towel.
You should hear Mitch’s rendition of “When You Wish Upon a Star”
Agree!! Angelic! Matt reminds me of Nat King Cole! So good! 💞
I just found this collection of PTX Tiktok stairwell songs and other song pieces and When You Wish Upon A Star is one of them. Link: ruclips.net/video/u00qMgj4I_o/видео.html

omg, that was hilarious
I like Superfruit "Empire" Medley. They are so good.

One should not be slapped so hard this early in the PTX journey 😂
Don't miss Guy.exe , one of their professionally produced videos as Superfruit. You will be singing it all day between bouts of laughter. Think "Young Frankentein" meets EDM
Did you know that this trio was in one episode of BONES and Pentatonix was in PITCH PERFECT 2?
The fact that they were drunk during this makes it even more impressive lol.
Would love to see you react to Superfruit's Hip Hog Goes Broadway (1 & 2) and Feeling Myself! If you want incredible and emotional, listen to their cover of Rise - Scott and Mitch are joined by 3 of their friends for this cover after the Pulse tragedy

Please react to "Mary did you know"!!! It's one of their earliest videos and it still leaves me shook
If you enjoyed this, you should watch their collaboration with Todrick Hall, “The Wizard of Ahhs.”
You can see the friendship here.
You need to check out Voctave's Disney Love Medley with Kirstie....so beautiful!
You should react to The Wizard of Aahs, by Todrick Hall, featuring Pentatonix. Also Black and White, with Todrick, Scott, Mitch and Kirstie!!
Have you seen Thw Wizard of Ahhhs? Toddrick Hall + Pentatonics
You should also check out VOICEPLAY and Home Free, they complete the acapella trifecta
This one is hilarious, and I love it. Given recent events in Colorado, I suggest Superfruit's cover of "Rise."
Superfruit Beyoncé medley is my favorite!!
Disney?? where you at??? I agree, Hey Igr,...Kirstie....Princess...... listen to the fans !!! LOL Scott tall Kirstie....ummm not LOL. And the blonde wig makes yet ANOTHER appearance lol. This is so fun. Mitch truly has one of the most beautiful voices in musicdom. That is an amazing friendship on display there.
Can you imagine being made fun of for what your greatest musical ability is and a once in a generation singer?
It seems as if there may have been a little alcohol involved when they filmed this 🤷🏻♂️ Even though this was a Superfruit video, I do believe it was Kirstie that really shined as a Disney princess here.
Yes please do defying gravity!! ❤ And Hip Hop goes Broadway is also helarious
You MUST watch some other Superfruit like Defying Gravity, guy.exe, and Rise
Ok, time for you to reach to "can you feel the love tonight?"
Brace yourself, you will be Mitch slapped.
Mitch also does a solo cover of Your Power by Billie Eilish that is awesome!! He is pure perfection!!
If you love Kristen's vocie with the disney songs you should check out VOCTAVE disney love melody that kristen is featured in. It is true amazing and with of my favorite things to listen to in my hold life.
Not a Disney movie but PTX are having a special on Disney+ on December 2nd.
❣❣❣❣❣
You should listen to rise by superfruit and Brian Justin crumb, mario Jose and Mary lambert
Your intro song is so good! Did you make it?
Hey…there is a video where they are playing a game where they pull out names of groups out of this holder and sing whoever it is… I think there were 100 and they got the highest score… I think they got 80 something in 10 minutes…awesome
The second part is rumored to be somewhat alcohol driven.
Awesome reaction! PLEASE check out Royals. It's early and perfect!
Unless you already have you should listen to Kirstie with Voctive singing the Disney Love Medley.
Put them in Disney movies, yes - then BROADWAY. . . . they would be AMAZING.
That blonde wig has been in a few skits. Scott is 6'3" but he should be around 6'6-7:". He has scoliosis and had to wear a brace for 5yrs to help his back, but it's still crooked but it hasn't stopped him.
Have you seen The Wizard of Aahhs, their mini movie musical with Todrick Hall
Y
Empire medley
Mary did you know is their best
Kirstie has been on Broadway
