I was hoping you would show one of his Chatsworth ranch homes. He owned several different horse ranches in the area that is now called Monteria Estates (bounded by Corbin to the east, the 118 freeway to the north, Devonshire Blvd. to the south and Topanga Canyon Blvd. to the west (I think.) I have never seen a photo of any of those houses, yet Astaire was part of the Chatsworth community from the 1930's through the 1970's and into the 1980's.

It was his sister Adele who married a lord of Chatsworth house in England then moved to Ireland.

@@judis6224 Chatsworth is a community in the northwest San Fernando Valley in southern California, about 30 miles from downtown Los Angeles. Devonshire Blvd. runs east/west through Chatsworth. Both the town and the street were named after the Devonshire Family Seat, Chatsworth, in Derbyshire, England, in the 1880's. For many decades in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the Valley was a center of thoroughbred horse breeding. Fred Astaire was part of that community. Chatsworth in the Valley and Chatsworth the house in Derbyshire are two different places. I know about Adele's marriage to Charles Cavendish and her connection to the Duke of Devonshire and Lismore Castle.
