Hey guys, this is my attempt at a Pokemon Soul Silver SHINY ONLY Hardcore Nuzlocke. I hope you enjoy it!

Hardcore Nuzlocke Rules:
1. All fainted Pokemon must be permaboxed.
2. No overleveling past the Gym Leaders/Elite 4s ace, level ups in battle are accepted.
3. Mega Evolutions are banned.
3. No in game items allowed. Held items are accepted though.
4. Game mode must be on Set mode.
5. Species/dupes clause.

I wouldn't say it's my favorite but Woolo is awesome, they are literally the black sheep of the family
Mine is sableye because it was my first gen 5 shiny but sadly I only had 1 mon alive and it dided

I restarted heartgold earlier this year and was jokingly resetting starters (not really trying for a shiny) and got a brown cyndaquil in 8 resets! Best feeling to get that luck :)

Lol you didn't even hunt once in the full game, Jolly Zubaz and Adamant Nidoqueen ? Chickorita in 5 min ? That's impossible. Even if this is real you could have hunt for 2 more pokemon to make a full team.
Do a hardcore nuzlocke where only pokemon who are pure typed (Pokemon who have only one type, like Machamp being a pure Fighting type and Weezing being a pure Poison type) can be used.

Gen 2 was so brave being probably the only pokemon game where picking the grass starter is actually a disadvantage, oh and gen 6 and gen 5 but only because you are disadvantaged regardless of your starter

5 days (about 850 soft resets)
Little did I realize what a mistake I’ve made imposing the unique rule of “Dexnav only shinies” considering how much I hate the Dexnav. So far I’m working for a shiny Zigagoon.
*basically every new route, whatever random Pokémon the Dexnav chooses, that is what I need to hunt for my shiny... with a duplication clause...
I’m pretty sure given my research, Dexnav is a flat 512 odds. 😅 I am so screwed... 😅

Imma say it for anyone else who’s thinking it, we’d all love a run on a legitimate copy of the game, without speed up, or save states to get the shinys. We’ve hunted full odds before, getting lucky still takes a lot of time when doing 1/8192 odds

There is no way you got a shiny zubat with a jolly nature and then a shiny nidoran with an adamant nature back to back. Plus the nidoran is alert to sounds meaning it probably has max speed IVs.

I remember, when I first played with the grass starter, I had an Umbreon, a Crobat, a Dragonair, a Kingdra, and a Tyranitar. I defeated the game with them, and I faced against Red. My team was level 55, and it was STRESSFUL going against him. But I eventually won. I won against him and I couldn't help but scream in joy.
