Wonderful video. You set a good example cleaning the leading edges and surfaces of the aircraft right after landing. May I ask what is your preferred cleaning solution for the fuselage and canopy?

Hi Jay, so in the summers here in TN and in the SouthEast where we normally fly, the bugs get pretty bad especially if you fly at dusk or night. I like this stuff: you can buy it on Amazon. It is a glass cleaner in a spray can called "Sprayway Glass Cleaner". We use it on the Canopy and the plane. I like it because it stays in the same place while it is wet. It seems to soften the bugs up, if you let it sit, and then it wipes off without any mess it drips. Crystal usually brings a microfiber cloth to wipe it off, and does the window before the plane. I am sure everyone has a different opinion and will give you a different answer. Our canopy is plexiglass and the plane is completely carbon fiber, that has a smooth white coating, the manufacturer say it is not a "gel coat" like fiberglass boats have, and it seems to very very durable. Very hard to scratch it. I have yet to have our plane get a good wax coat and polish, but I know it is coming soon. Right now it is at its annual inspection in Charleston, South Carolina. Ready to be flying again. Cheers!

Thanks for sharing a great video! I have just purchased a Pulsar LSA plane in Decatur Illinois and will start my flying lessons for an LSA license. Keep up the good work!

Nice videos ! Nice airplane ! I am looking for a similar airplane. I flew a Remos the other day but the cockpit seemed very tight with the high wing and I had to bend my head down to look out the left window.
Do you know of any used planes like yours ? I seen one on Barnstormers but it is not insured so I can’t test fly it.
I am assuming you prefer low wing over high wing is there a reason ?

@@DENNISROC Hi, so I have been researching planes for a while before a actually bought N234YP. A youtube channel called StingFlight i had been following for many years. I do prefer low wing. The Sting has amazing visibility and generally are funner to fly. Meaning low wing like a fighter plane, with a stick for controls haha. TL makes a new version of my plane, mine is a Sting S3 2009 version. The Sting S4 came out in 2012??? Better canopy, wheel pants, and pedals. Everything else very similar. They also make a high wing of similar design to mine called a Serius. (tlsportaircraft.com, USA distributors)

Thanks for the nice comments and appreciating the videos. I love my Sting S3. I would to get the S4. I have 150+ hours in this plane, and hope to have many many more adventures. I would recommend flying in one to make sure you like it and it fits your mission. If you live near Nashville, i would be glad to give you a ride!!!

looks like you had a great time. we had one of those shades on our sting at the school, but the tape they gave us lasted about 3 weeks before it came off at sun n fun

I bet it matters what double stick tape they use. Ours has not come loose all. Plenty of summer florida trips so far. Thanks for the comment. : )

@@lightsportpilotadventures ya I dunno what tape they used tbh, I guess the fact it was outside for a week in the sun didn't help lol

: ) Video Editing is the hardest part for sure. So time consuming! I still haven't got the last OshKosh video done from last year! haha working on it.
