    Calm doesn't belong in the same sentence as boxer.

    I have a 11 week old boxer named Cooper great looking dog a little hard-headed though. Ha! So I saw this video and I started doing it with him and he made it through all of it perfectly except at the very end. She likes to chew on my hand he doesn't bite but he chews on it. He does it with our Pomeranian Rocco I think he stresses Rock a lot a little bit what's all the playing grabbing at his fur biting on his on his legs. Rocco is the sweetest little dog ever he always has been I've never seen him growl or nip at anyone but him and kooper get after it. The most of the time it looks like they're playing but I think after a while Rocco gets frustrated because kooper doesn't know when to stop obviously he's a baby. At 12 weeks once he gets his shots I will take him to training but I am curious how do I get him to stop biting at things he doesn't do it to me at all until I started doing this training with him. He does it with the kids he does it with Rocco and I'd like to get into stop doing this is there something I can do to correct him.

    Man that was awesome! Thank you for posting. Our first Pug who we had from six weeks would let us do all of those things no problem. He lived 15 years, best dog ever. Our rescue Pug is so traumatized he would probably rip your face off if you tried to do any of those exercises with him. He loves us but he just can't get out from under his past. But that is okay we still love him unconditionally. We will definitely do this with our new puppy boxer arriving next week.

    I have a question, we are moving and decided to get a boxer puppy, what does docking do to the dog? Do the small tails hell them or something?

    • @beerrunner8153
      @beerrunner8153 9 лет назад +4

      +the bamboo craft All it does is keep them for sweeping things off your coffee table when they wage their tails. It has no other use. I say keep the tail.

      CuddlesDaPanda I know this is old but I still want to say it, Boxers have very hard and strong tails. If you keep the tail it is absolutely gorgeous but can hurt the boxer from wagging to much. Some people had cases of bruising and the dogs tail being broken. I recommend docking the tail. When the puppy is small it can feel little to no pain when docked. My boxers where happy and healthy with docked tails.

    I fear that these physical exercises imposed upon young pups could well end up making the pups fearful for the rest of their lives, especially if an inexperienced owner/handler made a mistake during the training . I am not convinced ; this approach seems contrived and rather unnatural and may end up harming these vulnerable youngsters.
