As much as I love the design, I worry about the quality control by Spooky. I was onboard about getting a Halloween, but after reading about all the mechanical problems buyers had, as well as how quickly people dumped them at a large loss, I’m hesitant. I think anyone who wants one should buy it used and save a ton.
You could measure it against Scooby Doo. I had a couple of issues with the ball trough and a failed Warden Board, but were quickly remedied with a phone call to Spooky and parts shipped out immediately. Other than the couple of issues, I’ve played the heck out of Scooby and it has been solid. Just my experience so far.
Seems like it was designed with mainly TCM in mind, and then they just reskinned it with LT. Idk who is putting these gruesome horror themes in their homes.
Ultra Man was made because Charlie, who owns Spooky, loves Ultraman… no other reason. That’s how the double theme started, because he wanted an Ultraman pin but the niche didn’t warrant a full single game release, so he came up with the reskinning idea. Next machine Kris, ask him to slip in awhile machine as an option 😁
I gotta agree with the comments @round 25 mins re:TAz. Unless that central feature of the game is badically spinning on a drill motor it doesnt feel right. Its so messed up cause everything else is basically perfect on LT. Who could look at that TAZ @Spooky and feel ok about that sluggish 360?? Its a crime!! IT MUST BE FIXED!
If the playfield is THAT good, I agree with making two themes. Both themes reach a different audience. If the playfield is rock solid, fun, and enjoyable; it's the smart move to do as a company. Honestly, Spooky making Venom premium look embarrassing. I love LOVE Venom, but it's premium or nothing, and I feel it's ridiculously over-priced. These Spooky tables on the other hand, for their price, on point. Koodos to Spooky if the quality control matches everything I've seen
I'm going to watch the video but wanted to fire this thought in there. As soon as I saw the announcement, I thought back to your video on different machines with the same playfield. I.E Metallica and Guardians of the Galaxy. At first I thought it would be weird but I think layout repetitiveness might matter less if the theme/code is integrated well. incorporate
@@adamstar7516 lol I would assume the probability is like .0000000001%. That’s why I don’t think the layout being the same is really a big deal. But I’m also sure you got one person out there in the world who’s disappointed because they wanted to buy both and will probably post about it
The magnet throwing the ball in the scoop is seen on the shadow machine btw for the sanctum ball lock.

I'm there with you. The quality control is going to be the make or break for these two tables.

Spooky has a bad rep for maintenance and breakdowns. I’m not interested. Themes were both meh.
