This is one of those songs that just amazes me, makes me wonder how someone could come up with the sounds in thier head and make it into something so awsome..... That time American bands, tv shows, movies, books, economists, politicians and everyone else threw the gavel at everyone and everything but their own reflections and honestly believed theirs' is the only judgement that matters.
We don't have a copyright on the "feck foreigners" mentality. Nationalism and a negative opinion of neighboring cultures isn't new. It's old, ignorant and insular.
I saw these guys live In Moncton N.B back in August and they played some of their new songs. Kept looking this one up every week until it was released in January. They did a wicked job singing this one live, unreal.

yeah the pixies have a certain wailing that alot of bands have been paying tribute to lately. Cage the Elephant's - Aberdeen sounds like a pixies song, with whitey ford from everlast singing over the top.
