Voiture légendaire la 404 robustesse et confort la reine de la route de son époque inoubliable et formidable ❤️
J'ai eu la chance de bien connaitre cette voiture , mon papa en a eu une , j'ai appris à conduire là-dessus ; et mon patron en avait une superbe, extraordinaire à injection , peinture métallisée , jantes à rayons , intérieur cuir , vitres électriques , toit ouvrant , freins à disques avant. Je ne sais pas ce qu'elle est devenue , cet homme est décédé très jeune , sa voiture, c'était son bijou , entretenue comme une mariée. (!)

My dad owned two 404 and 504s. Super car with comfy seats. Easy car to repair. Both were great cars!

How many miles, kilometers, can these engines last? Also is there much difference between the engines in the 404 and the 403?
Have always loved French automobile designs and admired French engineering. Had a Simca Aronde in ‘69, I hope to own another one someday.

The 404 and the Austin Cambridge Farina looked so similar and yet so different at the same time. The Peugeot has a purer, cleaner look, staying fresh long after the Austin.

I had a 1970 model in New😝Zealand for 13 years, replaced a worn out 1600cc engine with a mid 70s 504 engine of 2000cc, which we reconditioned ourselves. Took me all over both islands In NZ & attended both the local 50th & 60th Anniversary Rallies for the 404. A marvellous, tough and reliable car,much admired by older folks especially farmers & stock agents, for their strong suspension & "go anywhere" capability.

Very impressing, not least due to the fact that there has been chosen "non-invasive" measures, preserving as good as possible the original substance of the car.
