Funny, I've never really considered pregnancy in literature a "trope" before. But now that I think about it, it is kind of ridiculous whenever couples in novels have a whole bunch of in no way, shape or form protected sex and then the woman goes, "Wait... Throwing up in the morning... Breasts are sore... Late for my period... OMG, I'm pregnant? How did this happen?" Considering a lot of "surprise pregnancy" tropes are centered around a young, naive woman having a whole bunch of unprotected sex with a notorious playboy, I feel like erotic novels should replace the "surprise pregnancy" trope, and start a new "surprise S.T.D." trope... Not so romantic now, are you? 😝 Very much looking forward to the enemies to lovers video! ☺

OMG yes! All of this is why this trope is typically not my favorite… it can be done well, but I’ve only read a few I liked 😅
