I hate it when I see these videos in "cute pet tiktoks" compilations and when I say "hey that's animal abuse" people attack me saying "it isn't you're just sensitive" because I care for animals.
Same, it's amazing how the people filming can't see tat it's totally unacceptable to treat animals that way :(
@@BirdNerdSophie that and the people who are watching the video. They could post them beating their puppy into oblivion with cute music playing and they wouldn't be any the wiser.

Omg why are these people letting there cats and dogs deal with birds?! It’s obvious that the cat is trying to play but birds are fragile. There wings are very fragile. Do these people not tell that the bird is obviously not happy. The cat looked like it’s trying to eat the poor bird. And the dog left the bird when it was lying on the floor. I think.
@@Bestweirdos true but also as Soda said, just one bite from a dog or cat could kill it.

The soccer-playing goldfish were fish raised in a hatchery by a guy that loves goldfish and loves soccer, so he built that soccer tank and trained the goldfish through a lot of patience and treats/food that they now do it for fun. He also switches out his many goldfish to train them. They have much larger tanks he keeps them in when they aren't playing "finball". Ikr! I feel so bad for animals and I wish they could get the lives they deserve! :( And also, do you know anything about a ferret? Because I have only one ferret and since I have to go to school and do homework and do so many things I rarely can play with her. My mom won’t get me another one to keep the first one company because she wants to spend her money on bills and food and she doesn’t have 300$ to spare.. And do you know how many toys the average ferret should have? I think mine has around 20 (I could be wrong and they aren’t super big toys) because I want to keep my ferret happy with toys even if I can’t play w/ her often. And one last question, is a big rolling ball (kinda like a hamster ball except a lot bigger) okay for a ferret? My mom and I got it for my ferret so that way she could explore the house without a risk of getting lost or hurt (because she’s only a baby) but I just watched another video of Soda pets saying that hamster balls aren’t the best for a hamster (especially if they are stressed out of something, can’t remember what she said word for word) so I just wanted to know. :) tysm for reading this! Have a good day!
@@alice_devil69 hamster balls are bad. The breathing balls aren't big enough and their claws can get stuck and break off. I'm not an expert on ferrets, but I do think that they are social animals and need a lot of interaction with other ferrets

Okay, last tidbit. A lot of the accounts where predators “play with” (attack) the prey animals, I’ve noticed a plethora of _baby_ pets. Kittens, puppies, baby chicks... Considering the content of these accounts, it worried for the pets as they grow out of the baby stage. They’re clearly just being used for clicks, views, and monetary profit, and these people know cute baby animals sell.
But what happens when they grow up? Are they taking care of all these baby pets they have? Are they just going to throw them away or neglect them once they grow out of the cute stage? Those videos strike me as the type where the owners impulse buy cute puppies/kittens and then “rehome” them when they get too old. It’s honestly concerning that they feature so many baby pets. Like yes, baby pets are cute and you want to take pics/vids of them-but these videos _exclusively_ feature them because they know it rakes in views. They have 5 or ten baby animals that they must be taking care of, and it seems like it’d be too much to care for (for this type of owner) once the benefits wear off. Idk, that’s just my suspicion. They keep a steady stream of kittens and pups and never show the old ones when they grow up, just new babies everytime...
Likely a breeding mill due to the amount of animals :(
This might be just me but, I still think once an animal is old it's still cute. My family puts our older chickens who don't lay in our goat pen as a "retirement" pen for the chickens and I still love each and every one of them, even the old scrawny ones. So to think someone would just, discard an animal once it's older is really messed up.
When I adopt, most of the time I get the older animals that nobody else wants to give them a good home ❤
there could also be a highchance that they are reposts hence why they would have so many
i honestly think adult animals are cuter
Seeing those cockatiels legit almost made me cry ,they look so scared and stressed ,having cockatiels of my own I damn well know that there tails should look nothing like that
Same. I almost broke down at the sight of those helpless chicks being attacked
Absolutely it should not! I just wanna zip the feathers back up for them 😭 I used to love doing that when my conure got his feathers messy from rolling around and goofing off. His tail was SOOOOO bad in this video… in every single one of them so it’s obvious it happens all the time. It looked like some of his plumage was broken too.. The poor cockatiel was trying so hard to run away! 😞 It even ran to the human in one of them and the stupid person backed up to keep filming the torment…
I had a cockatiel that escaped. We got her back but her tail feathers were ripped off by a cat or dog. It makes me really sad seeing another cockatiel with damaged feathers :(

@@wafflefalafel9442 my cat is super chill with my bird tho. My bird is super curious of my cat and goes up to him all the time. I’m always around when they hang out to make sure noting bad happens, but my cat basically just sleeps and purr while the bird plays with his fur.
And when the bird bites, my cat just meows to let the bird know it hurts, and the birdie will stop whatever he was doing that hurt the cat. It’s honestly very cool to watch them build their trust for one another and slowly become friends. I think it works well for my fluffy friends because my cat is very old and gentle and my bird is very respectful to the cat. But I have seen some vicious cats and they will not treat a bird the way my kitty does, so it’s very important to supervise and NEVER force them to accept each other. They either do or they don’t, never push it.
definitely. I'm more into herpetology, so big community enclosures with compatible species like tree frogs and day geckos or anoles are just so fascinating! But of course, there will always be risks when you have animals together, even of the same species. Bearded dragons for example, it won't end well if you put them together
Supervision is the most important part. Some people don't even realize that they should avoid even letting their two dogs be unsupervised with each other, because even two dogs who usually get along can snap/get triggered and end in a bloody fight. Cats can fight each other, too. No matter the species, any interaction should be supervised, and being home alone together will always be a risk. I had a Green-Cheek conure, and she got along well with my senior toypoodle, mostly because my dog had absolutely 0 prey-drive and wasn't even interested enough to sniff my bird. But my birb would still groom her ears/fur and snuggle while I was supervising. I never even attempted to introduce my bird to my other dog who was a total crackhead and lived to chase bunnies and prey, or even let him into the room where the cage is.
There can't ever be an accurate "chart of compatible pets" because it all depends on the individual pet, not the species. At most, you can make a chart of all species who literally can't get along with others (for example, betta fish can't even be housed with other betas). Some dogs are dog-aggressive and can't live with other dogs. Some can only live with small dogs, or big dogs. Some cats need to be alone, some can be with other cats, and some dogs and cats can cohabitate - but some can't. Obviously marine pets can't socialize with mammals or reptiles, and most reptiles won't get along with mammals and birds. Basically, it all depends on the personality of your pet, not JUST the species. and ALL pets, regardless of their species, should be supervised as often as possible, because like I said, two dogs that usually get along could kill/injure the other if they are home alone and something triggering happens, even if 99% of the time they get along well...
@@EMandMmms yeah, like it's possible that a lion and a bear would live happily together, but then it's possible that even animals like rabbits will fight with each other, even if they are literally friends

omg yes
why does that sound like i would enjoy watching tho? im concerned now
In the videos with the cats and dogs “playing” with the birds, the cats and dogs aren’t really doing anything wrong since it’s in their instincts to chase birds and similar animals. The problem is the irresponsible owners.
I’ll admit, the cat that was “playing” with the chicks looked very happy and seeing the cat having so much fun is quite wholesome, but the fact that the cat is torturing those chicks and the owner was just recording it is wrong.
So, it’s not the cat or dog’s fault, it’s the owner’s fault.
Yea
while it is possible for cats and dogs to be friends with birds and 100% not wanna eat them, even if they're bonded like that it's dangerous and irresponsible to let a bird near a cat or dog for the same reason a human shouldn't own a lion or a wolf even if they're as docile as a standard house cat or dog. dogs and cats like to play and will try to play with their feathered friend. but because birds are so small and fragile, it's so easy for them to accidentally injure the poor bird.
finally somebody said it
although tik tok has so many bad animal husbandry and representations of pet care... i think we can all say that it’s very refreshing to see the good videos with proof that the owner loves their pets ✨💕
Dogs and birds should never be allowed this close to one another. I have a dog and a jackdaw. Whenever it's playtime for my bird, I make sure the dog is kept at a reasonable distance. They are way too fragile to be touched by dogs like that, even if non-aggressive.

10:43 it depends on the type of hamster, roborovski hamsters, (which i own), are meant to be kept in groups and are highly sociable animals and get along really well and even sleep next to each other. Syrian hamsters, on the other hand, are meant to be kept alone and will fight if introduced to other hamsters.
(not hating btw just wanted to clarify) :D
*slowly adopts another male hamster and names him Gotye*
Don't mean to start an argument on an old comment but I see this sentiment a lot about all types of dwarf hamsters and most commonly it is wrong and can lead to people introducing hammies too late. All hamsters are happy to be kept alone, and while dwarf species (unlike Syrians which you are right about) can get along if introduced at a young age they are prone to fighting as they get older, especially if a new hamster is introduced. Most people I see who believe hamsters can be kept together were told so by pet store employees which sadly most are just trying to push product. In my experience, it's best to leave a hamster as a single in all cases and this has come from research on forums and my own ownership of them. If you have experienced otherwise I'd love to hear about it.

one of my contacts on fb shared recently a video of an albino rabbit being "friend" with a huuuge red koi fish. Basically the poor rabbit was wandering in a kind of pond, totally soaked, while the fish was keeping the head out of the water to "kiss" it. @@AlexBulbmin dude. are you defending abuse because birds attack insects? Half of them haven't even seen a insect before because alot are domesticated. And because animals attack other animals that you like you damn them to hell? Cats are again, predators and if you see that it's okay for clear abuse to happen because insects die from them? Then you seriously need a different sight. I can tell your young, whatever we say dumb things, but if you seriously think this, please reconsider, birds don't deserve to be scared to death, literally. Just because they might eat worms, insects whatever, thats what THEY do to survive, but cats, are domesticated and have different ways of food and shouldn't be this close to birds on purpose, and cats just generally shouldn't be out while birds are, its bad and its abuse. Now, im sorry and all, your again, young like me, we say dumb things, and then we learn from that, but that doesn't make what we say right, im glad you like insects, I personally don't, but please, change your perspective.
What I like is that you don't blame the animals. You don't say bad things about the cats and dogs on the bird videos because you understand that it's not their fault, it's the hunan's fault. And I'm glad for that
As an extreme animal lover, I am so glad you are bringing this to our attention, I really am. It makes me upset that most people won't take their time to actually learn how to care for their animals properly. I am fairly good with animal body language, and I know stress signs within most mammals. But I am very bad at knowing when a fish is stressed.
Stress signs are usually: Excessive licking, biting, feather pulling, becoming stiff, growling/hissing, etc...
But most people don't notice these warning signs, and then it's ALWAYS the animals fault somehow! "The dog bit my child, she's bad!" "The fish won't stop killing each other, what the hell?" Like, please learn the proper steps so that you and your animal/s have the best lives possible together🥰
