First! With all these issues with Funko, I am on the verge of stop buying Pops. I don’t want to get rid of my favorites, but I might not grow my collection.
We get an even worse situation here in the UK, we dont get many of the exclusives, so they are imports and therefore pricey anyway, or the sticker gets removed. Sadly funko seem driven by greed, and it might bring them down! Thanks for a great video👍
😅Devils advocate here, every company has to raise their prices due to inflation. Unfortunately they have to and they are trying to give us a little extra value for our dollar. They could have given a choice but it seems like a market test for them. Hopefully they tune it and offer site wide the option for protection or not. All that being said I’m loving more K-dog n Fish keep posting these bangers! Great conversational content!!! Ps wasn’t there supposed to be a contest to have you 2 over for Christmas?😂
As long as the pops are coming in a MINT condition in a hard protector, I can forgive them but if the po is put into the hard stack damaged then NO BUENO 😱😱 great video 👍 😎
What's up guys! F that! I'm not Paying an extra 5 or 8 bucks for a pop protector. When i can buy a 100 for less than 50 bucks on amazon. Yes i know there not the funko pop protectors but still I'm still protecting the pop. I'm just going to wait till they have their 70 % off sales to buy these pops. Great show! P.S what's up invisible B - Money ! great input !
I love that they're coming in stacks but think Funko should not charge so much if not at all. Maybe say all sales final but they're a company that wants to make money so there's no way that will happen. But if they did that the consumers would be happy and buy more. But all in all, they need a more consistent price for sure!
I don’t like having to spend the extra $5 , but I’m getting tired of having pops show up damaged. So if they put the pop in the protector gets me in excellent condition, I’m OK with that. Now they cannot dispute, Any returns if the pop is damaged. Having an employee put a damaged pop in a protector that’s on the employee for not doing their quality control job. So I’m in. I really selective of what pops I buy now with the cost though.
I totally agree. I don’t wanna spend an extra five bucks for that because they should’ve made that as a pot premium for those two instead then I would’ve bought it for 20 with the protector
$5 for a hard stack is nice, but i just wish they would offer it instead of forcing you to do that. i'd rather them charge an extra $2 for a soft protector vs the hard stack
You guys are right Funko is really trying to clean out our wallets but five bucks that is crazy. 😢😢😢 because you guys know I’m a big anime fan even I’m mad about that cause remember, it’s a 50-50 chance you order from the Funko shop and might come out damage. I’d rather get it from GameStop or you guys and you guys should definitely do a show about GameStop getting US exclusives in their store
Like I said, you guys should definitely keep it up as always, but I want to know what would you guys do a video about Donald Trump wants acquire Canada I know it’s not fun related, but it would be a great video and see what you guys thoughts on that
The funny part of all of this is funko never intended for the exclusives to have hard stacks with the price. The funko fans went wild online over the price that funko had to address it. The fans thought it was a pricing error, and funko made the excuse of the protector to attempt to justify the the cost, as you've said they likely made so much and can't sell them. It's clearly a money grab, especially when Funko also announced dropping new One Piece pops for the next 9 months. Thats more insane to think about, they're going to release so much One Piece pops this year.
@@gilbertoflores7397 that is a great comment! Didn’t think they added the hard stack after the backlash 😮 and yeah they know one piece sells so they are going to jam it down everyone’s throats in 2025
Personally, I’m not super upset with Funko’s Super and Premium pops. These pops are more detailed and the molds are more difficult to make. I get it. BUT the price point needs to be justified! Forcing protectors on the new OP pops is not cool. The new stacks have a bulge on the inside that damages pops (idk if that has changed, it has been the case for at least a year) I do believe they used it on these new OP pops as a test run. Make a little less on the protectors BUT move more inventory out. It’s very unfortunate that Funko upped your wholesale cost… hopefully diversifying your inventory helps. They’ve been greedy ever since the CEO switch and it’s working bc stock is up now 😅
It’s more about the principle, you’re being forced to buy the hard stack… although on the other hand and we mention this in the show… If they ship it in the hard stack, then that is totally worth it for in box collectors!
@@KDogAndFishthat’s valid . I do keep tabs on funko and there shenanigans. I remember last year when they started slapping all the comments of a certain topic in like four and five packs just to clear them out most likely.
I also think no one is buying their hard stacks because Popsheild's hardstacks are so much better, and this way, they can get something for their unsold stock.
Funko is just passing the cost of damages and replacements off to the consumers... OP Anime pops will sell 25000 easy... netting $250K extra, more than enough to cover the cost of the shitty hard stack and any damaged pops & extra shipping... This is a calculated risk by Funko... but sadly it puts the shops like yours in a tighter vice... Welcome to Corporate America Funko # SQUEEZESQUEEZESQUEEZE :( As always you guys are Awesome!!! FPP!
Bro no hate but you guys can’t really be mad at funko raising prices on their website when you guys charge 40 dollars plus 10 dollars of shipping on your website for funko shop exclusives that are STILL available on the funko website
@@ITSMEJACOBFUNKO Bro we are in Canada lol. So if you take a $20 USD exclusive and get funko to ship it to Canada with their flat shipping rate in USD then they add their tax, duties fee so when you get it to your door in Canada with conversion (which is so high right now) to Canadian it’s going to cost you MORE than the $39.99 Canadian we charge for retail for a USA exclusive. Also to be fair, that was our price before Funko started shipping to Canada so now we are ordering way less because people can order it themselves in Canada now. In fact we are cutting way back on Funko in general because of the price increases. Thanks for watching the show though, Cheers!
I'll just wait until they are part of the next 70% off sale!

I bet you going todo it to all the anime cuz they know they're super nerds are going to buy it😂😂😂
Well if Canada becomes the 51st state you shouldn’t have any issues getting Funko Pop deals.

I would have actually gotten Astro since it is a very nicely done pop but I don't want to drop extra just to get a shitty protector.
I totally agree with that one because you never know if they put it in the protector or not if not, it’s a 55th chance I might come in damage
@@arrowstar519 Hell, those protectors are fucking useless if any bit of force is done to them.
