I feel like the Bitty’s market is mainly for kids. I think Funko is in a teenage phase where they need to decide if they are a toy company or if they market to collector and kiddo markets.
looks like the gang needs a movie night to watch Lilo & Stitch, then Moana 😂 even tho i just started, Funko Pops of popular things i would like to see don’t happen, then they go plan for something that only has 1 episode. ill enjoy vicariously thru collectors like ya’ll
I think these are cool. Especially the Ninja Turtles. I don't like the other licenses but if they made more I like. The bouquets are dumb. Though I hate Valentine day period lol. The Bitty bots are cool. Thanks for great content again. Keep it up.
Funko should have started out with the Bittys and then eventually went to the 4 and 6 inch Pops. I think they would have sold better instead of selling the larger pops and then making smaller ones. They are going backwards, and I don't think that they will really go anywhere. I know that they struck gold with the original POPS, but trying to do the Bittys now makes no sense.
The boxes are OK, some bitty fans will want to create these scenes and they'll display well if that's your jam. BUT .. Funko needs to realize it's a niche market and the demographic is about 1000 ppl perhaps. Don't make 10,000 of each one or they'll be at Marshall's before you know it. PRACTICE RESTRAINT.
I think maybe they want to go too directions. Bitty pops for kids and Pops for adults. This way kids can play and maybe leave the full size pop for afults, teens. I like the Bitty pops and I think I would buy It and Stranger Things.
K-dog you r such a hater-tot lol. I think bitty pops are still collectible and enjoyable personally. I mean anyone can technically take an item and start collecting similar items and they can still call it a ~collection~ I dont completely agree with Fish but I can relate and understand ur POV on bittys. I only really started collecting them when there were accessories to display them on. I appreciate the informative video :)
I think they've made a mistake by having hardly an chases both in pops and sodas. The hunt used to be fun to watch, kinda exciting. Now its just straight consumerism (like before) but without the fun aspects
yeah Funko pretty much killed every line, no moments, no posters, and no Rewinds, no Sodas... seems were all in on Bittys.... remember the even older stuff? like Dorbz and Rock Candy????
i personally think funko pops, with their style and large eyes. i think they work the best as very small almost like littlest petshop type figures and also keychains. the keychains aren''t bad however, making these have a huge display thats the size of a normal funko box is dumb. the whole issue with buying funkos is the amount of space they take up
I've been saying for the longest time that Funko is having an identity crisis and don't know what type of company they want to be. There are people who say they collect Lego, but no one says they collect Hasbro. Those people collect Marvel Legends, Star Wars Black Series or Power Rangers Lightning Colllection, but not Hasbro. When Power Rangers moved to Hasbro after being with BanDai for the first 25 years, fans kept buying them because they were Power Ranger fans, not BanDai or Hasbro fans. You're either a company with collectors of your brand because you offer a unique product or you're a company with collectors of the specific licenses of your product - but you can't be both.
Half the community complains that funko is selling out and claiming bittys aren't collectibles (um why not?), and the other half was complaining that a collectible isn't one if it was only made and marketed as such....sooooo to each their own i guess? I collect normal Pops in addition to the bittys, and while the bittys don't have value rn, neither did Pops at the start right? Also those gold Bitty be selling for like 100 bucks a piece, so it looks like someone's collecting somewhere.
@ there are 2 of us on this show lol, we debate, we have differences of opinion, that’s what makes the conversations fun. Obviously people are collecting them and that’s why they keep making more…This show is more about is this the new direction Funko is heading? Time will tell if Bitty Pops will hold value, or that Funko won’t scrap the line in the near future…no one has a crystal ball so I guess we will see! Thanks for watching, taking part in the debate, Cheers!
I thibk this is good even if funko is doing this because other products aren't selling. The size of the bigger displays and stuff is why i stay away from them. Any company need to diversify their products and their audience. They been trying to make a secondary product happen and more detail display product happens and thst hasn't been working. You don't just stop trying to do anything new. Especially not in today's capitalistic society where every company got to increase profits. But even outside of thst any artist is going to try to do new thing is and not stay doing the same thing. Got to throw a lot of failures at the wall to get a success. Funkonbitty seems a great size to experiment with too. Popnrides and towns as bitties are easier to fit in my collection and stuff like these and the bots are just cool. And theh save on the mold because they use the same molds as the 4 inches but scale down.
