If you need someone to sell, then Yamcha is Him. Otherwise… has the guy won a match without any caveats? Like I think his only real wins were against ChiChi as a kid, that Invisible Man who he only won against because of Krillin, some nameless tenkaichi characters off screen and… genuinely I don’t know if he’s got a win since Dragon Ball in Z. Super Manga he does something in an arc but that’s still a history of selling.

@@TheGotreck A hungry Kid Goku doesn't really count, since Goku wasn't in fighting shape. Even if I did count that, Yamcha got a hit in, and Goku got back up, but couldn't fight well because of hunger, with the fight being inconclusive after Yamcha saw Bulma and ran off. Remember I said without Caveats. Also Yamcha holding Goku's tail, and then Puar cutting it off I wouldn't really call that a fight either. If I did, I'd have to give Yajirobe a win against Vegeta, and I wouldn't say that counted as a full fight.

He has Frieza’s cells, but he also has every Z fighters cells. He can regenerate, zenkai, and has the battle experience of multiple fighters. It would make total sense that he would be up to do a tournament simply because of the fact he has Saiyan cells.

That's what makes him perfect cell max!!! Plus i think Bulma and Hedo could probably just build a new, better, good version of Cell besides wishing the evil one back to life.

So with cell, you gotta ask yourself "is he as petty as frieza?". As in, is there enough hate in him that he would want to train? He lost to SSJ2 gohan, an opponent stronger than goku, at that time. Meanwhile, frieza lost to someone who barely discovered the form.

I'd say he would accept that he lost. But train so that NEVER happens again. He is aware he got too cocky and got literally Son'd because of it.
The difference between the two situations was that gokus new form was a 50x power up, where as ssj2 is a 2x power up of your current ssj1 form. The leap in power from base to ssj1 is WAY HIGHER than the leap from ssj1-ssj2 . That being said freeza had to deal with a power up that was many more magnitudes of order stronger than what he was dealing with compared to cell. It doesn’t matter if the form was “just discovered” in freezas case, even goku “just discovering ssj” was literally an entire different entity compared to gohans transformation which simply doubled his power. Freeza was dealing with a much more potent transformation at the time if we use context 🤷♂️
@@mookiestewart3776 That still means SSJ2 is a higher jump in terms of numbers. Since we don't know their actual power levels I can just assume Cell and Goku were around 1 billion, just for the sake of throwing something random at the wall. And SSJ2 Gohan is 2 billion. A billion increase is WAY higher than 120 million. And considering just how massive the power levels are by the end of the Cell Saga compared to the start, with Frieza and his father being one shot effortlessly... It isn't far fetched.

I think the team is pretty easy Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, Broly, Frieza, Gamma 1, Buu, and Merus.
The final pick is interesting you have really just 3 options Uub, Granolah, or 17.
If Granolah is alive by a new tournament, then it’s him.
Uub has the most shown potential in the show so if he is old enough, after training with Goku, then Uub is an easy pick.
17 is the pick you choose if Granolah is dead and Uub is still too young.

Great vid sage, but now if I would have to give out my list for a hypothetical Tournament of power 2 event a shot it would probably be something like this;
1. Perfected UI State Goku (This choice was just gonna be a given honestly and also just too see the current powerhouse of techniques such as the True UI state, giant divine avatar creations, god-like telekinetic movement skills that Goku has been cooking upon in recent arcs for to use in a hypothetical 2nd T.O.P event is all good news to me)
2. Ultra Ego State Vegeta (Same as well, but too get a chance to see the new power growth of abilities that Vegeta has now in his arsenal in a 2nd T.O.P match up situation would be a great thing too see this time around)
3. Beast Mode State Gohan (He’s awakened even more hidden potential power within him so too maybe even see an rematch with an current kefla’s fusion mighty capabilities now would be extremely interesting including him gaining even more control amps over the unique form plus just seeing that special beam cannon technique variation of his go ballistic in the world of void as well world be eye candy)
4. Orange Mode State Piccolo (Literally has surpassed the super Namekian state of himself from many years ago and has now gained an higher level of echelon in potential power that can easily surpass androids such as the gammas 1&2 built stronger than present Goku and Vegeta’s strength)
5. LSS Full Power Controlled Fury State Broly; (Don’t worry Broly’s definitely been on his chill era days recently especially so I think I’m making a good choice on this one maybe?😅)
6. Enhanced Super Cerealian Full Power State Granolah (Would be great too as an person such as himself get more expanding within the series and too see more of his unique powers and abilities too all kinds of things in an hypothetical 2nd Tournament of power event before his yearly soon departure from the living world etc)
7. Current SS Light of Willpower Rage Mode • Sword Of Hopes And Dreams state Future Trunks (Now I know you’re probably saying wouldn’t he specifically be prohibited to contended for the U7 team because of him by divine rule violations of traveling through timelines etc, well no need to worry about this because if you didn’t know future trunks is now great allies with future supreme Kai’s shin & kibito and future beerus and whis, so technically they could all ask for the divine authority approval of the future grand priest of getting him back into the main timeline by accepting means plus there are literally two grand zeno’s that are just casually up and acting about who for starters one is from another previous timeline that is no longer existing so if Zeno wants too see future trunks in action for the next tournament of power event than who’s gonna go against that agreement in the end, so I rest my case with this one and finally wouldn’t it just be great too see future trunks in the current storyline again for permanent reasons hopefully since 2018 or Age year 799 in the series storyline to have an nice catching up reunion all in all)
For Disclaimer #1 (If future trunks can’t use his brave sword weapon because of the tournament of power rules than I’ll just exclude it so to be more accurate and fair towards the already established proceeders put in place previously)
8. Demi-Angel Merus The Galactic Patrol Man (Still Great friends with the dragon team members such as Goku pacifically and still imo has insane levels of potential even as an mortal being now currently within the main story)
For Disclaimer #2 (And merus as well will probably not be able to use or bring in his laser gun weapon either just like future trunks case too, so that will sadly have to be excluded most importantly I guess)
9. Current Android #17 (He had so many great moments in action using his special abilities too work with last time in being the true MVP of the team and was even holding his own against the mighty O73i Android before saganbo showed up and helped out against taking down cell max for a bit during across the Moro & super hero sagas, so I just had to put him on here for a 2nd time around)
10. Current Yamcha; (I mean many people such as bulma, krillin, and tien did consider him to be the 10th chosen warrior to be put on the team the last time around, so I’d say let’s give him a chance just for zibes screw it Lol)

@ Yes that’s true, which is why I put an valid hypothetical explanation of how he could still get into the what-if tournament of power II without using his time-machine an breaking divine rules. And it is by possibility asking future whis^2 to get into contact with the present whis to make sure they can get the pass from the grand priest and the grand lord zeno’s agreements so he now then would be able to cross over into another timeline with divine approval by using the time-rings alongside future shin^2 to guide him there etc making it work at the end of day or just have mirai adult trunks already stationed in the main timeline after the events of the Goku black conflict just like in the DB sparking zero what-if storymode.
Goten and trunks in SH movie was boxing 😭 and a fat fusion managed to crack CELL MAX’S HEAD… and in the manga they battle all the saiyans in a free for all they can definitely hang 🤣💯

Saying Cell max was inconsistent in power because he got blinded by a fucken solar flare is ridiculous. Tf is he smoking? Your strength/ power level is irrelevant when it comes to a solar flare. You’re going to get blinded unless you’re already blind or you have shades on as we’ve seen goku use shades to avoid getting blinded. Also during the training leading up to the tournament of power krillin managed to boost in the intensity of the solar flare immensely.

Granolah arc takes place in Age 781, the inly thing im not sure of is if its early or late 781. So if we factor in Uub and he's still at his EoZ age, Granolah is either dead already or has a few months left until he dies unless they return some or all of his remaining life span.

I think that would be such a fun, lighthearted arc
Fuse Broly and Gohan for the Legendary Saiyan Beast
Loved the video. I 100% see your point with Buu and Broly. I'm going to do something different and pull from the movies as well as future events post-ToP1 to get the "best" versions of characters that they could potentially achieve before the kick-off of ToP2.
1. I'm thinking, you NEED Goku and let's be honest, you wouldn't be able to keep him away from any tournament (maybe if it was a chess tournament...)
2. You NEED (Ulta Ego) Vegeta to keep Goku's head in the game and to have another heavy hitter/damage sponge that does not have "ohh look a strong opponent" subtype of ADHD to the same extent.
3. You NEED (Black) Frieza for the sneak factor and banter.
4. You NEED (Orange) Piccolo for all the reasons you outlined. Technique, focus, intelligence, versatility, teamwork, clutch factor. And good lord has he earned a rematch.
5. You WANT Future Trunks. Especially with new hax rage boost/potential unlock from Zamasu fight. Yes, he might distract Vegeta if he messes up (and he will, as usual, ohhh the dramatics!). I don't go for the "Zeno would object" argument personally since he had every opportunity to erase Future Trunks but did not. Even if he's not omniscient, he should be able to "smell out" timeline anomalies when he's right next to them.
He needs to learn some proper non-sword finishing moves though, because weakass ki blasts are unfortunately in his DNA and a Masenko is not going to "cut" it. I'm not saying you can't take someone down with it, I'm saying the writers would never *let* him take out someone with a Masenko or with ki spam.
6. I'm thinking: resurrect COOLER. Imagine Cooler finding out just how powerful Frieza became, then add sibling rivalry, higher base power, and being more focused than his brother. I'm not saying we're getting Black Cooler, I'm saying we'll likely have something entirely different. Let's put it like this: even when he got murked by Goku, did he then come back for revenge Resurrection F style? No, he just went for New Namek instead to rebuild himself. That's called thinking with your brain. That's what makes him cooler-headed (haha) compared to his younger sibling. It would be especially hilarious if they were at some point to fuse, but I don't see this happening, ever.
7. Gamma, absolutely. Hell, have the good doctor build another Gamma, go Super 17 style or even Super 13 style by using parts from other Androids.
8. Resurrect Dabura. Look at Piccolo. Look at Dabura. They were demon kings in their own right. Then look at Vegeta, who was no longer Majin after death. Since other characters that were eaten after Buu's candy ray were resurrected, why not? He's an intelligent fighter with some hax that knows when to tactically retreat and when to fold 'em. Apparently he's mellowed out a bit, just like Piccolo (and arguably Frieza, but I would argue Frieza is much more evil than Dabura. For Dabura it's his job as demonic royalty, for Frieza being evil is what he loves). You bring Dabura back and he owes you. Then with training, or some magic shenanigans, or even a power unlock?
9. Don't know much about Merus but seems like a solid pick, if allowed by the rules.
10. Don't know much about Granolah but seems a super solid pick. Cannot find any reasons not to take him. Surely there are ways in the universe to achieve life extension (not immortality) other than the Dragon Balls, it's a very big place with many alien civilizations. And more life duration could be traded for even more power? Not exactly sure if it was a one-time thing or if the "life-for-power" thing is still "active" and would kick in by itself if his lifespan got extended. Either way works, more years to train with the right crowd is good too.
SIDEBAR/WILDCARDS:
11. You WANT Beast Gohan, but he's at least as risky as Broly. Yes he can clutch but he might just as well get knocked out early on. He needs to be able to do the hero thing and things might not evolve into a situation where everything comes together for his limit break. Especially if all life in the universe is not at stake this time. And then we get a repeat of Resurrection F. Getting sniped is a proven risk for Future Trunks as well, but Gohan is just too consistently inconsistent due to his priorities and lack of situational awareness when he's not amped up.
12. You WANT 17 for battle intelligence, hax and ability to make the team cooperate. But is he interested if the stakes are not as high? Surely the whole "we'll erase everything" thing only works once.
13. You WANT DBS Broly, IF he can control himself. Z Broly is a no-go for a million reasons. You cannot keep him under control.
14. Here's a fun random pick: BOJACK. Yeah, he's evil, but in a mafioso "it's just business" way. I'm sure he might be receptive to a similar proposition as Frieza and WAY easier to put down than Cell if he misbehaves. We don't have any real idea why Bojack is as disproportionately powerful as he is and if any training, technology, genetics or magic played a part in it. Is he a mutant, like the members of the Ginyu Force? Wildcard.
15. Bringing back Cell is a HUGE risk. Not only does he have Zenkai + Regeneration + Frieza race training potential and the ability to create Cell Jrs, he's shown to be spiteful enough to destroy himself before he even knew he might potentially come back. He's a walking spite-powered nuke with a grudge that is extremely hard to put down and to keep down.
16. Can sub in Pikkon for Dabura. Warrior spirit, never stopped fighting, legendary champion, reason to train, on good terms with the Z crew. What's his upper limit?
Doesn’t matter universe 7 wipes. But the team is goku vegeta frieza gohan broly piccolo gamma granolah 17 merus nobody stoppin this team

cell would def be a good pick since he could slowly absorb strength from goku and them while training. that combined with the potential realistically similar to frieza, would make cell grow stupid fast which would allow him to get to SSB strength or greater in the small period of time between the tournaments
You could have Buu absorb only teammates (since absorbing other teams is kinda OP.) for a power boost, then have Vergeta use Spirit fission to defuse any one buu absorbs so that 2 competitors don't go out as 1. Genius plan

Getting 2 fighters only for them to fuse is a handicap in a tournament like the ToP. You run the risk of having them fuse, only to get one shotted by somebody like Jiren and just like that you lose 2 contestants.

Narratively I think the next tournement of power has a different universe as a winner. I think it's just going to be winner gets a wish on the Super Dragon Balls. Maybe among all universes not just the bottom tier. With that said, I think a nerfed Universe 7 makes the most sense. You can't bring Freeza because he'll make a negative wish. You can't bring Gamma 1 because they'll wish for some weird thing that Hedo wants that is totally useless. You can't bring Broly because he wants more Saiyans( I doubt he'd wish for that I just needed a wish). By now you get the point. I propose Universe 7's team is

@oldmanjesus9855 I mentioned that "you get the point" as in characters not mentioned have a reason to not be there, like Buu who probably falls asleep for what would be the third time in Super. 18 has no passion for fighting and no reason to fight if there is no threat to join. Every time 18 fights outside of the Android/Cell Saga she gets paid as she does not care otherwise. Using weaker characters provides stakes that having U7 at full power doesn't have. Giving a shine to under utilized characters makes more sense than having the Saiyan's and Piccolo with Freeza woop everyone.
Merus, Granolah, and Android 1 are like a "need to" in my mind, whether it's logic or clout...

Well if I can include non canon characters than I agree with most of the team picks, but I would also pick Pikkon and Super Janemba. Just think of Super Janemba and his dimulaculation ability as a weapon to get fighters out of the ring quickly. After Goku Pikkon is the 2nd strongest in other world, it was the opposite when they met but just think of how impressive he is and how he can beat easily many opponents.
