Canadian soccer is full of politics unfortunately. Even if you are better than their players they don’t care. Not sure if it’s because the coaches are getting incentives for certain players or if they are in disbelief that there are better players out there. Either way they make it extremely difficult to gain access to the tryouts and even if you have a track record of success in soccer, 8/10 they will ignore you. I know this because I’ve played the highest level of soccer in Canada my whole life until I chose to stop playing D1 to pursue my business career. Since then I’ve been willing to play semi pro and can’t even get a response from any of the coaches or even the players that I know personally. Players with a much weaker mindset that have always been less skilled and still are. It’s unfortunate but that’s the objective truth. So it’s no surprise that Canada gets nowhere when it comes to developing professional soccer teams/players. South America does not do this out of the love for the game and the need to be the best. I hope these Canadian coaches wake up one day for everyone’s sake when it comes to being the best in soccer and professional development. That’s the only way to get people actually interested in this ghost league.

Men, in south America we have big problems with it, at least in Colombia. Is so frustrating to see less skill players ahead of you just because he's dad is friend or they pay huge amounts of money

@@danielospina3124 yeah I’m not familiar with Colombia but that doesn’t happen in Uruguay/Argentina I’ll tell you that much. If your team doesn’t win you’re getting your ass kicked one way or another so usually it’s the best that need to play.

It is incredibly difficult to get into SEMI PRO football in Canada unless you know someone. Coming off of a professional contract in Europe I didn't even get a reply back to the 4 clubs I contacted in which I included my playing history to show the level I've played at.
It's frustrating seeing the style and lack of quality in the players playing at what is considered the highest level.
