Wanted to shout out the Gold and Gears event, where its heavily implied if not outright stated at some point that the Borderstar Trade War *and* the Emperor's War ultimately came about due to Hooh's influence, as it was attempting (and by its own logic apparently, succeeded) in balancing out how powerful the IPC was becoming.
Good one. I never thought of that, that's explain why we heard the narrator/emanator's voice when we was level up our Equilibrium for the first time in Underground Belobog
I see the equilibrium as their own balance, think about, being the aeon thag presides over equilibrium, what better way to symbolize that path then to be in equilibrium with yourself, furthermore i believe destruction to be the counterpart to preservation
I absolutely love the philosophic concepts in HSR You could absolutely build a universe around a fun adventure, no thoughts, just action, drama, science and all other things that make up a fun sci fi universe, but it chooses to reflect the questions that people have asked for millennia. HSR has set a new standard for me, by which I now look at all forms of art. I think the idea behind it is incredible. Also if HooH can be paired with any Eon (and if you can even pair Eons), I would bet it is the Trailblaze since predestined fate and forging one‘s own destiny are quite contrary. The nameless being the counter-faction to the Arbitrators, even though they aren’t directly opposed. Another option could be Terminus the Finality, but we really don’t know enough to say anything for certain yet, HooH could also not be paired with anyone, or just something so engraved in reality that it can’t influence it.
Because the "gods" or aeons are just philosophies rather than deites to be worshipped... You follow the path of their philosophy, and that's how you get their power. Even the aeons themselves will disintegrate from existence if they don't follow the path themselves.
HooH’s name is rather interesting. In other Languages in the game, HooH’s name keeps its trait of being “equal”, for example, in Chinese, HooH’s name is “互”, which means “mutual”. Also, this might be looking in the wrong direction, or maybe it’s simply just an extra detail that means nothing more, but words like “racecar”,”radar”, or “level”, are words that can be read backwards and still say the same exact thing. These are called Palindromes, and as you can tell from HooH’s name, THEY have the naming sense of a Palindrome.
I really hope we get to meet some Arbitrators (followers/emanators(?) of the Equilibrium), and if they’re playable I hope we only get two, with them being Imaginary and Quantum. And I hope Hoyo shows off the god powers Arbitrators have been said to have
A pious Arbitrator is a Follower of Equilibrium, we got aleardy a mentione of them in an npc dialogue, and recently and new faction fo HooH was added, I don't think we are to far away from your wish
- I think the concept you might trying to find with HooH and Equilibrium is Daoism, which is a concept that very rooted in chinese culture and often interconnect with concept of Yin&Yang. i won't explain it coz i might explain it incorrectly but i highly suggest you learn more about Daoism as the whole concept of Path in hsr is from Daoism - Due to the limited information on Equilibrium and HooH, i can't be sure yet but i believe Equilibrium true nature is "Correction". For the universe to function properly, beside just order it need correction which is seem to fit what HooH being doing so far. When the universe advancement reach a certain peak, HooH will "balance" it by creating a disaster to bring decline to the universe and when the universe reach a certain level of low, HooH will once again "balance" it by delete individual and relocate resource etc etc and even the other aeon might not escape from their "balance"(meaning an aeon rise or fall can a result of HooH "balance" whether instantly or later down the line). The most important thing i think about Equilibrium and HooH "correction" is not for maintaining a status quo and stagnation but i think the "correction" or "balance" is to keep the universe moving forward, creation can't happen if there is no destruction, advancement can't be made if there is no set back. - i want to bring up swarm disaster for this coz there the theory of the event being an assassination plan for Ena and HooH is likely one of the aeon behind it. Why? coz Ena was too much "order" to the point of just pure control which symbolize by her puppeteer design, Ena being too order is making the universe stagnate and the fate of world under her control is very clear as well, which is something HooH don't want so while they don't directly involve but HooH definitely have a hand in with Ena downfall
I disagree with your statement as Equilibrium as a whole refers to stability rather than correction. This is because in equilibrium chemistry, the molecules are not being corrected nor “fixed” but rather stabilized as the rate of the products and the reactants are equalized. This is why in a chemical reaction, one uses the ICE tables to determine the amount of molarity and moles of a product at equilibrium. PH calculations for example for weak acids require the usage of an ICE table or similar methods in order to determine the molarity of H30+ at equilibrium. Taking the -log[H30+M]at equilibrium results in the pH value of the weak acid. Another example of equilibrium playing a critical role in the sciences is that of harmonic oscillators where as the derivative changes from positive to negative, this bump is referred to as an unstable equilibrium, while as the derivative changes from negative to positive, this bump is referred to as a stable equilibrium. Note: as the derivative changes from either negative to positive or positive to negative, the derivative must momentarily become zero. In both examples, the slope of the reaction (reaction rates) and the slope of the harmonic oscillator becomes zero as a form of stability. This is very much different than an attempt at correction. If the equilibrium was based after correction, then most of the conflicts in Honkai star rail would be solved as it would all be “corrected”, however, this isn’t the case otherwise the game and story would be too bland. Stability as equilibrium’s objective makes a lot more sense logically and storywise.
@@awesome7006 (my cmt here is not to disagree with you, it more of me explaining myself) - i'm not scientist nor study similar science subject to answer your point and we just don't know much about Hooh and equilibrium so that why i said i wasn't sure yet. - at first i also thought about "stability" as equilibrium true nature but that doesn't seem to fit all the spot yet coz Hooh had directly interfere too many time if their goal is only universe stability as there are many way to do it without interfere with mortal matter, and you did misunderstand me a bit, my Hooh "correction" is to not to the conflict itself but to the result of it later, like in swarm disaster Hooh only step in after Tayzzy was bonk or GnG after the event end, their "balance" after each disaster end to create a foundation so the universe can rise and develop again so HooH themselves don't solve any conflict like what you criticizing. - And "correction" is not "fixing", i use the word correction for a reason and didn't say anything about fixing in my original comment, as there is nothing really broken to be fix. - Another reason why i pass "stability" is due to some outside info from other honkai game like GGZ and HI3 as all 3 game are in the same honkaiverse (honkaiverse here don't mean 1 big honkai universe, it mean multiverse that related to honkai and on the same branch of the imaginary tree). - According to other honkai game lore, the universe itself is always stable no matter whatever in it doing, unless it an incomplete universe which hsr universe is not due to aeon presence(an imcomplete universe unable to create a god level being, at best only 1 and creating 1 would destroy that universe itself) and Welt haven't said anything yet, Welt have exp with quite a few broken universe and bubble universe that is not complete and an outsider can identify one very easily compare to someone native in that universe. - Taken this info into account, HooH would have no need to interfere with mortal if their goal is maintain only the universe stability, the only being that can truly affect a universe stability would be the god aka aeon in hsr so if HooH really want to keep the universe stable then no new aeon can really be born as they can fully manipulate the universe down to finer detail which can prevent an ascension of any future aeon but seeing how new aeon can still ascend, it seem Hooh goal is more than just stability
funny thing is that nanook xipe ena and tazzyronth are old vs new aeons tazzyronth was replaced by nanook for more organised and pure destruction since every destroyed planet means more hive planets for more creatures to born ena was replaced by more chill xipe to not limit universe to endless stagnation but rather harmonise people also xipe is far more closer to humanity than ena basically they are downgrades to their predecessors
Theory: maybe the reason that nanook is not succeeding in his complete destruction plan is because hooh is stopping him from doing it and maybe when nanook destroys some matter the same amount of matter is created by hooh. So my hypothesis is that the supposed end of hsr when nanook will achieve his goal by destroying everything will begin when he either kills hooh or they disappears somehow. As there will be no balancer then chaos will spread and nanook will destroy everything and our mc will stop him.
Wait then maybe that's why some people think that the Stelleron Hunters want MC to take over the path of Destruction after killing Nanook. That would technically still be maintaining Equilibrium but still achieving their goal. But would Equilibrium consider us as too influenced and tru to overwhelm our mind to the raw chaos generated by the path? So many interesting possibilities
Man, sometimes I just want to have a straight up conversation with people, there is so much nuance in this topic and I just want to point out stuff and add to it
I become more and more convinced that the god's plot with Tazyronth was just a cover up for Hooh to usurp Ena's power with Aha's scheme, giving the blame to Xipe, who absorbed the dead god's body.
If Finality is the Union of all path, then Origin is also Finality. At the start there is only one path, then it split into smaller path, and finally merging again into Finality. In the end, its just cycle of split and merging
I don't think that HooH would allow themselves to become a "counterweight" in place of another Aeon. How could a scale be measured by itself? In the case of an Aeon dying or disappearing HooH would rather enable the ascension of a new Aeon, probably only absorbing a part of the path, if the path was close to THEIR path. So, while some aspects of Order could move onto HooH, I don't think THEY would take on aspects of more destructive or constructive paths.
My guess is the alchemy commission of the loufu has already been reforging itself in the equilibrium and rebranding itself as the chemistry commission. This is because in chemistry, a core concept is equilibrium in particular in reactions where Le chatlier’s principle results in a two sided flow of reaction rates. Increase the products in a reaction to shift the equilibrium to the reactants while decreasing the products in a reaction shifts the equilibrium to the products. Since the alchemy commission has been tainted with abundance, it only seems logical to embrace the ICE (initial, change, equilibrium) and become the chemistry commission.
This is a reference to general chemistry 2 taught in colleges and universities where equilibrium is a core concept in that course with the ICE tables and acid and base reactions.
The Equilibrium simply represents law. The universe follows a protocol which dictates how everything works. "Why does the apple fall from the tree and not fall up?" It also shares some similarities with Buddhism. Budda is not a person but a stage of mind in which a person can co-exist perfectly harmonious with the law of the universe. That is why HooH has his finger in every pie, because his domain is everywhere and everything.
I’ve always wondered Xipe and HooH may collide in the future. Will Xipe try to assimilate HooH as well? I mean Equilibrium and Harmony are very similar paths. I also feel the same about Qlipoth and Fuli. Preservation and Remembrance are also pretty similar in concept.
Harmony and Equilibrium sounds similar but they are much further from one and the other. Harmony represents the idea of coexistence, of symbiosis and the common good. Equilibrium represents the idea of balance, of constant strife between opposing forces, and neutrality. Harmony is about living in unison with everyone. Equilibrium is about making sure everyone is on the even ground in a constant war. Hooh and Xipe represent these ideas the best. Xipe are multiple, with multiple facets all working as one. Hooh on the other hand tore themselves into two so that they would have two opposing forces to balance everything.
