  • Luana Rubin of eQuilter.com interviews Alden O'Brien in the DAR Museum in Washington DC. (National Society Daughters of the American Revolution) Alden is the curator of Textiles, Quilts and Costumes at the DAR, and here she gives us a tour of the main exhibition space on the ground floor. Currently the space holds "Creating the Ideal Home" and a Downton Abbey era wedding dress. An early example of home machine sewing from Texas is showcased in one of the quilts in the changing exhibit.

Luana that 1850 basket quilt is awesome! ❤ all that grid work stitching ( on her new sewing machine!) is so neat and precise! Tyfs 9 years ago. Now to find part 1 😀
