- Today’s video is something special and a little different. It is, in fact, a flight review video! While there are plenty of flight review RUclips channels out there, we would love to know what you think of an occasional flight review video here on Long Haul by Simple Flying. This won’t completely replace the explainer and analysis videos we’ve been producing for the past two years but will instead show up every now and then to offer something different. Leave your opinion as a comment and include any feedback you might have about this new format- we’d love to hear what you think! But with that out of the way, let’s get started….

I really like this format, with voice over and plenty of info about the airline, airplane and great additional B-Roll. A nice change from the more traditional flight reviewers on RUclips.
Thanks for the feedback!
The voice over so therapeutic tbh
Agreed
I like this format. Good as a change of routine every now and then. As for the flight, what I took from it is that it doesn't seem worth paying extra money for business class for an hour long flight on that airline.
Thanks for the feedback!
Bro I just searched airbaltic review and I found this posted 10mins ago lol
Being the first review on the channel, I simply loved it! Keep up the good work and waiting for more to come! :)
Thx a lot for your review video! Was immensely enjoyable to watch!) Please keep making them!) Good luck
Perfect. Informative and comprehensive. More please!
Throughly enjoyed this format! As for the review, it's very insightful and brings the expansive pros of airBaltic. I think for the price, the comfort of the seats, the time duration, and the fact that you recieve a full meal in Business Class, I'd say it's a nice bang for your buck!
Its awesome to see this from you guys! Keep it coming!
This was an interesting change of pace I wouldn't mind seeing on the channel now and then for variety.
This type of review was fantastic and a nice change, a suggestion would maybe to include a table at then end listing available features like IFE, Power Bank, Seat Pitch, Meal Service etc…
This is simply a fantastic format! I really like it, Please do continue these videos!
Thank you for watching and thank you for your feedback. 😊✈️
Please continue this series! Just some feedback but I would recommend having sound from the clips taken instead of just music and commentary. Makes it more like a flight review!
We are glad you are liking it! 😊✈️
Doing a trip review with recorded voice over is so much better than some other trip reviews where the person talks into the mic as they travel.
Thanks for the feedback!
Good Video, something different from the usual is sometimes a bliss. Would love to see improvement in terms of videography in these type of flight reviews.
Looking forward to more such content
Thanks for the feedback!
I really enjoyed this video, it was significantly better than a lot of other flight review videos I have seen - I think it's that voice! The only comment I would make is regarding the on screen text, I felt like most of this information could have been voiced over. I enjoy doing other things while watching RUclips at the same time, for example I was watching/listening to this video on TV while working on my laptop, didn't want to miss the on screen info so it made it harder to multi-task. Excellent to have this kind of variety on the channel though thank you.
Thanks so much for this! I would love a flight review videos!
Thanks for the feedback!
Exactly what is needed! Thank you
For a first time it's very good. I think it has huge potential. Most flight reviews from well known channels tend to be biased cuz the airline knows ahead of time. Then they just give VIP treatments to reviewers. So, I see a lot of potential here by 'quietly sneaking' in and doing a non biased review. As a huge fan of this channel it would be nice to see that. Also, if airlines invite you, would also be cool to see the cargo side of the industry. Loading, balancing, inflight facilities and offloading. Finally, maintenance would also be interesting, though that's probably more difficult to do. Love your channels. Keep up the good work. 👏
Thank you for your feedback! 😊✈️
I would like to see more of these. The narration is a good addition over normal reviews. One other addition I would like to see is a kind of ‘grade’ at the end of each flight. Jeb Brooks does his ‘JebScore’ reviewing different aspects of the flight from food, the lounges, etc. out of a 5 star system- at the end he averages them all together out of a possible 5 stars for that specific flight.
Love these kind of videos . Please incorporate these more 👏🏾👏🏾😌
Thank you for watching, Keem! 😊✈️
Can’t wait to fly that! Great review!
I'd love to see more flight reviews from team simple flying!
Good job cheers
Thank you for watching and thank you for your feedback! ✈️😊
It's quite unbelievable to me that Simple flying had a flight to review from my home city, favourite airline with the best looking of its' aircraft!
Great start for a flight review. Please continue the good work.
Thanks for the feedback!
Love flight review videos. Keep it up!!
Thank you for watching, Andy!, Keep vibing! ✈️
Great video! I love the new format of flight reviews and you guys have done it very nicely. I would recommend making the video without the background music and just what the passenger would hear, an example of a flight review RUclipsr that does this is simply flying. Looking forward to your next flight review!
Thank you for your feedback! 😊✈️
@@LongHaulbySimpleFlying Your welcome!
I've been waiting for this.
More please, loved it and Include lounges when possible.
Great! we are happy you enjoyed it, Dom. Thank you for your feedback! 😊✈️
Great cockpit view.👍 An occasional flight review works for me. Cheers.
Thank you for your feedback! 😊✈️
I like the different style you guys bring to this type of video. I would definitely add some music in between dialogue tho. These kinds of vids need to maintain momentum and interest throughout.
I flew air Baltic to Latvia last year and found them great to use, I flew back on the Lithuania liveried plane featured and am flying again in June so hopefully I’ll get the other two special liveries.
Love the flight review great idea
I flew with airBaltic like 6-7 times and it’s been so amazing
Good video, and I welcome the occasional trip report! Really excellent videography and variety of footage, especially the water cannon salute from the cockpit. Only suggestions I have would be please do full voice narration rather than subtitles, and consider using first person.
Thanks for the feedback!
the more flight reviews the better. with so many airlines the established channels can only do so much. as a Canadian with roots in Estonia i love Air Baltic being an all a220 airline and the special liveries
Thank you Justin, we love a flight review, we glad you do too! 😊✈️
I'm all for more of these please :)
Thanks for the feedback!
We love your video and the power of flight
Thank you for watching! ✈️😊
Booked on LX but will be flying on BT metal instead this coming May. Thanks for the heads-up. I'll avoid the bulkhead seats then.
I think this sounds fantastic! Keep it up! :)
We sure will, Dario! 😊✈️
I have flown with Airbaltic. Worth checking out!
More of these please.
Love this format of the airline review ((giving more info about the airline/airport)). Looking forward to seeing more of these reviews. Great job
Great! we are happy you enjoyed it!. Thank you for your feedback! 😊✈️
do these more often i really like them!
Thanks for the feedback!
I do like this idea of occasional reviews. Most flight reviews seem to only focus on luxury and long haul flights, but seeing how different airlines approach a narrow body short haul would be nice.
Thank you Jake! great feedback actually! we will keep this in mind. 😊✈️
Something I didn't hear you mention is how quiet the A220-300's are, amazing little airplane.
Yes! First thing I noticed! Bombardier did a really good job on it, Airbus stole their credit on that
@@emilz85 They bought it from them, I dont think they are hiding that it was designed by them
more of this please!
Loved the video! Looking forward for more flight reviews!
Thanks for the feedback!
I really like this format with voiceover which is very different. I am really looking forward for this type of flight review video in this channel.. I would like to know the list of full -service carriers served by this airport
Thank you! 😊✈️
i personally love the bright green and white body livery
Love it!
Thanks for the feedback!
Great video!
Thank you for watching! ✈️😊
Keep it up!
Good job i love it,i dont ilke the business class seating in europe
Thank you for your feedback! 😊✈️
I like you introducing this series of reviews periodically. I do think it could benefit from more “review” content, letting us know how the person reviewing the flight found the products, service, etc. Much like on the seat section of this video. But I’d also like to know whether the lounge in the airport had quality for the offerings and services provided, despite it just being prepackaged foods - were they comparable to other lounges, was the selection not acceptable, etc.? And on the flight, more details on the food, service, value for the fare. Perhaps a score scale for different aspects, which is subjective to the reviewer, but gives viewers a better chance to compare and understand the details.
Love it
Nice video! 👏
Thank you for watching! ☺️✈️
Great vid
Thank you for watching and thank you for your feedback! ✈️😊
YES! A trip report!!!
Thanks for the feedback!
@@LongHaulbySimpleFlying no problem!
I like it!
They going to use a220 starting in October, for Vilnius-Tenerife... 6 hour 45 minute flight.
I flew this route with you in eco.
I think that is a good idea
Congratulations for your first review, you did VERY well! It's a good idea to have a review on this hannel now and then. But you might not want to overdo it, as this channel is best on providing the way it did so far.
A few constructive suggestions, out of my personal view:
++ Giving a short overview of what is to come is very appreciated. Well done, even better done than most reviews on other channels.
+ Additional info boxes (with text) is a good idea. - A little bit less often than you did in the video would be the perfect balance.
++ Info for skipping a topic, that's the way you're winning the audience's heart. :) You might want to use RUclips's chapter function for that.
-- Getting out of the bus until reaching the seat takes 40 seconds in this video. That's way too long with no info or nothing interresting to see.
-- Maybe providing the aircraft's information BEFORE boarding ;) -> or while those 40 seconds of boring boarding ;)
-- Maybe avoiding a repetition of a topic (in this video: about the Air Baltic's business seats; first at 05:38, second at 07:26)
++ Extra hints on seating comfort (like not takeing the first row) is always appreciated. Good job.
-- Talking about pre-flight beverage while being already 10mins in a 14mins long review, feels a little bit odd. ;)
+ Showing the take-off is a must. Well done. Hearing additionally the engine's roar for some seconds is even better. :)
-- Always include the landing, at least the touchdown
+/- Talking about the fare you paid would be appreciated
+/- Adding a comparison to the economy fare and its (lack of) service would be great
+/- Adding a little comparison to other low cost carrier's business class would be great
+++ Having spoken text in a review is very appreciated. You already did better than 80% of all reviewers. Thank you.
+/- If you have voice in a review, try to do it continously. Gaps of more than 10 seconds become uncomfortable.
+++ Having background music is great, if the volume is right. You made it PERFECT! Way better than many other reviewers.
+++ A after-recorded voice is the best (and only) way how to do a review in a loud environment. Thank you for the extra work.
Thank you for your work, it's very appreciated.
i really think that you should keep doing trip reviews
Thanks for the feedback!
I will watch anything you make lol
Thanks for the feedback!
I actually think it’s a good idea. Some here and there would be good to give this channel more diversity.
I think you should put this video in its own playlist.
Good idea! 😊✈️
their catering is better than most within europe. For me only Do&Co surpasses it. Meals are nice, not the biggest, but great flavours and worth it when booking your flight, if you need a bit of energy before landing.
Coooooooool!
I really like it
Thanks for the feedback!
@@LongHaulbySimpleFlying always welcome
A four year old A220? No surprise it has limited IFE options. And it might TAKE me an hour to eat that tasty meal.
No chance to get restless on a short flight like that. The A220 is the former Bombardier CSeries. Designed and built
in Canada. Airbus Alabama builds A220s for the American market. And there is a video on YT of two Air Baltic pilots
making a delivery flight of an A220 from Quebec. EIGHT hours! At least they had the plane all to themselves!
you said this aircraft is nearly four years old. perhaps later acquisitions of this aircraft now have electrical outlets and even in-flight entertainment?
I don't believe so. airBaltic identifies itself as a 'hybrid airline.' I think the lack of in-seat power is the budget side of this.
Cant help but notice theyve got the KFC coffee machine at 2:26.
👀😊
airBaltic is a decent airline overall, only gripes I have with them are regarding prices, salary of the CEO and the bailouts by the Latvian taxpayer that they need every now and then :)
What about the simply aviation channel?
Is it related to the simple flying channel?
There's no relation.
We recognize that if we continue to do flight reviews, there could be some confusion with the two channels. We'll have to wait and see. We would definitely want to have our own spin and style to our videos so it's not more of the same!
Wish I could fly an A220
Yay
Flight reviews are a good idea.
Thank you for watching! ✈️😊
Do a video on ethiopian airlines
We don't have one specific to Ethiopian Airlines yet. But there's this video: ruclips.net/video/14ByYjS6iE4/видео.html
Now Simple Flying and Simply Aviation is completely the same
As a Boeing Stan or an Airbus stan?

I would say the vid quality is better
@@classicicemc2848 😂😂😂
@@melonyfbb Which one?
Given the fact its economy airline, fair service.

Can Airbus 220 be boarded via air bridge?
You should make a channel for flight reviews
Thank you for the recommendation! and thank you for watching! ✈️😊

8:15 to bad I get this information just now. I booked me seat 1a)
Thank you for watching! ✈️
Great attempt, not over the top in terms of videography, straight to the point. Since this is an avgeeks channel, may i suggest adding a segment on plane spotting locations at the departing or arriving airport? Or maybe which seat to nab if you want a great wing/engine view. Watching the takeoff clip, it seems row 4 or 5 on the A220 would offer a superb engine view. I don’t see many other channels do this, it would be a great niche to carve for yourselves. A focus on value-for-money airline products would be appreciated as well. I wouldn’t mind an occasional flight review, once a month, twice a month is perfect!
Thanks for the feedback! Yes, adding information about ideal seats in the cabin would make sense.
I like
Thanks for the feedback!
With a new base at Tampere, will Air Baltic paint an A220 in the colors of the Finnish flag?
Doubtful, since the Lithuanian and Estonian liveries were done to celebrate the anniversary of The Baltic Way event in 1989. It would be cool to see though!
Not a bad idea before the Riga - Tampere championship hockey :)
This seems like business class that is not worth it given how few premium features are available compared to other business class flights.
I mean airBaltic is not an enormous airline like Delta, Air France, Korean Air, Air Canada etc., rather as he in the video mentioned, they’re not low-cost carriers but also not full-service carriers. They don’t offer flights accross the Atlantic ocean and their longest flight time is I think about 5 hours, which is of course not by any means a short period. I think they kind of do it for cost-cutting and maybe they don’t think it’s necessary since most of the flights are in Europe. But I don’t know, I haven’t flown on airBaltic’s business class, but for a kind of low cost carrier, it’s still pretty good.
A more stable camera would be better. Otherwise very nice and standard!
Yes, we will look into this! please go easy on us! 😊✈️
All in favor of flight reviews!
please upload More airlines fleet
Don't worry, we'll have more on the way!
@@LongHaulbySimpleFlying thanks sir
Don’t make it occasionally; make it frequently!
north korea Air koryo review we want.
It would definitely be cool to do if we have the opportunity!
Does air Baltic fly to the United States?
No, so far they only fly to Iceland. But Delta plans airBaltic codeshare on 24 European routes from their Hub so maybe in the future we will see a direct connection between JFK and RIX.
Not yet ;)
Need a camera on a stabilizer gimbal and slower pans.
Thank you for the feedback, Daniel! we are sure we will master it soon! ✈️😊
Love airbaltic from Lithuania🇱🇹
