I just realized that when Truth goes off in his first verse, it’s not just a bunch of similar lines that rhyme. He starts with “snake without the rattle” like Blings verses don’t have bite but transitions into stuff like “the day without the shadow” which doesnt make that much sense at the time but foreshadows him exposing Blings entire persona as empty and fake, not just strictly his rapping. Absolutely genius

I thought the first one was pretty smooth.
Yeah Bling had some decent disses for his first verse but Truth's word play was crazy. He was rhyming things that needed to be paired for half of his verse and then the second half of his verse he was rhyming basically was saying bye you are nothing in other languages. That first truth verse is ultra solid
The first verse was pretty much warning Bling for the second one while also dissing his rapping skills haha. I thought it was clever. Truth knew that the battle was over before it started.
