Hey, Topher. Your Freebie and mine led similar lives. I've been adding coolant to it weekly since 2014, and changing the oil frequently. My coolant mostly goes out the pipe, so maybe I'm lucky. I'm not putting in another head gasket and my rover dealer refuses to break down the engine. Do what I do... don't use the air anymore - just the vent setting, keep the sunroof prema-closed, and use the windows only as needed, especially that rear door window. You know why on all of that. The plastic gears on the sunroof, the plastic pieces on the regulators. The car is really fun to drive, and it is unique, but dude, it's never gonna be a daily driver. And that 'service engine soon' light - get used to it. Mine's been on since 2014. It is, what it is... a fatally flawed engine. Siemens electronics, Jatco transmission, and the KV6... they're all junk working in disharmony. See you on the road... or on the side of the road... Julia
Great comment as usual! Yeah I don't drive mine much but I still absolutely love it despite all the complaining I do on camera. Took it to a big cars and coffee event yesterday as a matter of fact, which will be shown in a video next Tuesday! Don't give up on it just yet!
