The design is actually cute, and very eye catching, but it terms of the user interface, it seems that it has the same UI as Nokia Asha 302, maybe faster, but the same. But even so, the design is amazing!
For those dissing this phone because it's not on par with other smartphones, I hope you're aware of the Nokia Lumia series. The Asha series is targetting heavy texters who like using the qwerty interface much like the Blackberry Curve models.
You have to go to the music player and use the up-down keys on the directional pad to adjust the volume. Otherwise, for the phone volume, assign one shortcut on the home screen to the 'volume' and change it from there.
I have one from back in the days when they first came out, so its ten years old and still sturdy, never had any problems with it, until now: I accidentally poured water on it and now the menu button seems to be done with it... I'll give it a few days. While I was googling to see how old it actually was, I was pleasantly surprised to see it's still in production 🎉 If this white one I have decided to quit, I think I will go for Yellow 💛

This is actually a decent phone for teens that really want to txt. Some teens just don't want the really fancy phones. Also the keyboard on touch screen phones can get annoying sometimes. So...yea it's not a really fancy phone, but it's still decent
@HazeMachtBlau...its programmable. Asha 210's in India have a WhatsApp button, EMEA have Facebook button and others have a Twitter button. But its really programmable, even to open other non-social media apps like your music player :)
If you want Wi-Fi, go for 210. I have the 210 for about 2 months now and I'm loving it. But I've seen a couple of pictures of 201 and it kinda looks nicer than 210. That's just my opinion. The 201 came out like a year ago but it has everything that the 210 has, except Wi-Fi.
I've got a Lumia 920 and I'm actually considering buying this as a secondary phone just for fun, it looks really good for its price. Be honest kids, if you get a cheap android phone your experience will just be really lame so think practical. I know this because I experience this first hand everyday whenever my friends show their low end androids that lag and are still more expensive that this. Even the 501 is smoother than those lagdroids
It's actually a really good phone. I've had a blackberry and currently this. To be honest, if you want better quality and more apps etc. Go for the blackberry. But if your like me and only use social networks and texting, go for the asha and save yourself a good 100$
Does the phone feature a notification light feature at all? I have read a few comments online stating that the keyboard 'blinks' or glows regarding any missed calls/messages. However on reading the online manual, this is not mentioned at all. Thanks.
The dual sim version comes with the facebook key while the single sim version comes with the whatsapp key. I live in India and there is no sign of the phone with a whatsapp key.
What do you guys feel about the keys on this device? I tried it out at the Nokia showroom and the keys were quite hard at times but I was flying while typing comfortably at other times. Its 2018 rn I even dropped the phone in the toilet in 2017 and its still working i didn't have toput it in rice or anything i just put it to stand up and the water drained up. Nokia is targeting a certain type of crowd, (as you may have read before), which doesn't even concern you. Not just poor people man, there are college kids who might be rich but their parents may not allow them to buy Galaxies of this world. How about one's grand parents, parents who don't want the hassle of Android Touchscreen phones and still relish the solidity and trust of Nokia bricks. Yes, you can do it, you can install apps from Nokia App Store, and you can install them in memory card. Currently I am using it and I love it. :) You can use whatsapp, wechat, facebook, twitter and so on. Try it :)
