    I don't understand the cvt complaints. 255000 miles no issues. Have had to change the fluid twice. I personally like the no shifting. Between the leaf and rogue when I get into a car with shifting It feels so weird.

    The fact that the bigger rogue is more fuel efficient might hurt sales

    The sport model looks like an updated first gen rogue that I always liked. I think the sport model looks very attractive.

    Just got one a week ago. Don't underestimate this vehicle, it's a little tank. Best mileage so far 32.6, my 2014 Sentra was avg 30. Love it so far.

    Craig you saw that in the old RAV4 when it had a V6 option. the V6 at that time only did one MPG worse so why not have more power? in this case they put too little power in a vehicle that probably weighs almost as much as its bigger brother. that's why the mileage went down. sometimes if you have a big engine and are not taxing it to get up to speed it will get better mileage than a small motor that's working hard all the time.

    I wonder how much difference there is between the S trim level in the States and in Canada. Because in Canada it starts at around $19,900ish. That's with a manual transmission, but for the CVT you're likely around $22,000 - which means they either didn't account for the exchange rate or there are differences between the models in the 2 countries

    The #1 selling vehicle in the world (Ford F series) is also made of different vehicles (150, 250, 350) more different than the Rogues.
    Did you know that the bigger Rogue/X-trail is the 3rd best selling vehicle in the world after the Ford F-Series (combined 150, 250, 350) and the Corolla, while this vehicle with the Qashqai is within the top 15? I think together the Rogue/Xtrail/Rogue Sport/Qashqai would be #1 or #2 in sales in the world.

    Well I think the reason why the Rogue is a bit better fuel economy then the sport is because the Sports 2.0 engine has to work harder with CVT to move faster specially getting into the interstate. The higher rpm's kills the gas mileage. The bigger brother Rogue does not work as hard so rpm's are not as high. 😊

  • @mikeharris7261

    Should have stuck the 2.5litre in this thing instead of that weak 2.0 litre on top of that it has the CVT to deal with.

      The 2 L 4-cylinder is plenty for this vehicle we bought one last week and I thought it would be too small of an engine it may not be the quickest but it is much smoother than that 2.5 L engine all so much quieter it makes the vehicle much more pleasant to drive than the regular Rogue

    What tricks do I need to learn about this vehicle. My fiance and just got one and we are new to push to start and having an intelligent key. Dealership didn't tell us anything so I'm just wondering if there is any tricks with the fob like remote start.

      I own a 2016 Rogue sv awd you can go to a audio custom shop and easily add remote start, It will need a different fob.

    • @mountainhobo
      @mountainhobo 7 лет назад +1

      "ethnic sounding Qashqai name" -- Ethnic sounding name? Do you even know what that means? It is not a proper name. And naming a car "a clan of tribes" is so f# deep, I can't stop laughing at how pretentious you are. Have you ever been to the US? Come to Silicon Valley one day, provided 150 different nationalities and ethnicities in one place doesn't frighten you too much. Pretentious nitwit. And then we have the loser Dee T, who thinks learning how to pronounce idiotic name Qashqai is a sign of high intelligence. I hope you can memorize the phrase "Would you like fries with that?" You will find it very useful throughout your career.

    • @And3rson1294

      mountainhobo Perhaps grouping sport model sales with regular rogue sales would allow Nissan to have the best selling compact crossover?

    • @mountainhobo
      @mountainhobo 7 лет назад

      @Anderson -- That makes perfect business sense. Why not take advantage of name recognition of the existing, and well selling product.

    • @deet4895
      @deet4895 7 лет назад

      mountainhobo Look, get down from off your high horse ok, all I did was repeat what Nissan North-America said but with colorful language, they said and I quote. "We decided not to call it the Qashqai in America because we think Americans would have a hard time pronouncing and spelling the word Qashqai" so basically they are suggesting that Americans are not smart people, so you need to go take up your disapproval with Nissan North-America not me.

      Dustin Morris Nissan has the ugliest designs but this one caught my attention. I understand now that it's not really a made for US car but European style. That's why it looks good.

  • @ARB0204
    @ARB0204 7 лет назад

    Nissan has been using the 2.5 liter engine since the 2002 Nissan Altima and I don't why they don't even bother redesigning the engine the engine design is dated, and it makes the car slow and unresponsive and the engine is unrefined and passing other cars is an annoying experience with this engine, come on Nissan, learn from your competitor automakers, they come up with new engines, they keep on updating and redesigning those engines, and they come up with better and more modern transmissions and every automaker keeps on updating the drivetrains.

      Rogue Sport uses a 2.0 & the 2.5 if it hasn't been redesign it's because it's a great engine, now the CVT suxs we don't get better mpg from them in the city .

    Many dealerships do very similar videos on their RUclips channels to promote new models. Just thumb through the basic information and what their particular model has to offer. I get it's Facebook live but maybe have someone tag along that is looking at purchasing one or an own of a rival in whatever vehicle class. Would liven it things up a bit.

  • @JoeE.

    • @essel23fly
      @essel23fly 7 лет назад

      Santa Joe why? Nobody uses awd. They just use it to drive like idiots in inclimate weather. You don't need awd unless you're going off-road on some cliff or in sand. I've been thru multiple winter seasons with a rear drive SUV and sports car. I lived.

      "Qashqai" -- you missed the "q" inside. Yeah, agree on the name. Perhaps it was prompted by the truth in advertising laws, as it sounds very close to "cash cow", which it was for Nissan in Europe.
